The Citizens United (an Orwellianly named organization, they are really a bunch of corporate thugs and not a grassroots organization) case has convinced me that we need a Constitutional amendment to alter the 14th Amendment. A corporation is not a person and should not be given the same rights as a person. Since a corporation doesn't have a mouth, their way to speak is through giving money. But IMHO, this is legal bribery and could lead to fascism. The way to fix this is to A. amend the Constitution and B. change the Supreme Court. The 14th Amendment should read:
All natural persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any natural person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any natural person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
I heard an interesting point someone made that Dred Scott made people property and the Citizens United case made property people.
