Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me and I welcome their hatred.-FDR

Equal Justice For Everyone

It's nice that New Mexico just legalized same-sex marriage. But all the states that have it are blue states. It should be legal everywhere. Before slavery ended, half the states already banned it. It wasn't a complete victory until it was banned in every state. Let's just hope we don't have to have a civil war for Alabama, Oklahoma, and all the red states to have same-sex marriage too.

Happy Birthday Bill Hicks!

"The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we … kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace."-Bill Hicks

Obamacare Will Work

Here's the straight dope on Obamacare. Despite the problems of the website and stuff, the legacy of Obamacare is that more people will get healthcare and lives are going to be saved. Some idiots compared Obamacare to Bush's Katrina, but people died in Katrina, lives will be saved with Obamacare. Republicans tried to vote to end or delay Obamacare and they threw a temper tantrum and shut down the government when that failed. All because they didn't want Obama to succeed. Well they will have egg on their face and the Republicans will hopefully be thrown out of office next year.

I know November is already half over, but I have to get something off my chest, or my face. As a man, I think this "No Shave November" or "Movember" thing is stupid. It's also sexist IMHO. After a month of guys having to see these pink ribbons everywhere for breast cancer, men are like "Hey, what about my nuts and prostate? I have an idea, let's upstage women in November and not shave!" Also, selling pink things for breast cancer month actually got money for research, what does not shaving do? It does nothing for men with cancer either. Either it's sexist or lazy, but I guess some men really feel like they are actually showing some solidarity which is fine, but just admit that it's doing nothing for fighting cancer. Some think it raises awareness for cancer which will lead to money, but in reality it's just dudes not shaving and raising money can be done despite "Movember." By the end of the month, it will be just something to get Thanksgiving gravy on. If you already have a beard of moustache, fine keep it on. But if you are just growing it for "Movember", shave it off, it's dumb.

Stupid Conservatives Calling Smart Liberals "Stupid"

Look, one thing is true about conservatives, they love to project. If I call them "racist", they say, "Nah you are the real racist." Or if I call them "fascists", they say, "Nah you are the one who is a fascist." That projection needs to stop.

Look, I know why conservatives project. Because if they told the truth about themselves, nobody would be a conservative and lying only goes so far. So conservatives take whatever liberals accuse them of and say, "I'm rubber you're glue, whatever bounces off of me sticks to you." Yes, projection is essentially the adult version of that childish rhyme.

That leads me to the people (or person) who keeps calling me, Albert Cirrus stupid or a moron and others who call liberals stupid. Conservatism is essentially just the intellectualizing of anti-intellectualism. That is it's trying to turn dumb arguments into smart ones. So pretty much every conservative argument is a stupid one. But because they think their arguments are smart, they then think that liberals are stupid and that's not true. You can say that they are too stupid to realize that they are stupid. But I would like to declare any conservative accusing any liberal of being stupid or a moron to be a liar because they are the dumb ones. Conservatives are stupid idiots, they should admit it and stop projecting. Thank you.

"The whole point is about mediocrity, but as I look around me I understand that some of you aren’t going to get it."-Bill Hicks

Obama Didn't Lie

A lot of people are saying that Obama lied for saying, "if you like your healthcare, you can keep it" because the healthcare companies dumped some people. But why would anybody like a healthcare plan that just dumps them? That would seem like something nobody would ever like. If I said, "if you like your friend, you can keep them" and than that friend punched you in the face and left you, you wouldn't call me a liar because that's not something you would like. It's the same thing with healthcare. Obama didn't lie, stop blaming him for the actions of the healthcare companies that a few years ago were allowed to dump people for pre-existing conditions (and secretly probably still are.)

Happy Halloween!

The scariest part is that this is totally true, conservatives have no brains.

WW2 Memorial Closed

The government shutdown closed down the WW2 memorial. Hmm, so anti-US right-wing extremists closed down something dedicated to those who fought against anti-US right-wing extremists, interesting.

Republicans Suck

I haven't commented much on my blog lately, but I think the Republican Party has crossed a line. This government shutdown is 100% unnecessary. This isn't over some budget dispute, this is Republicans holding us hostage because they hate that Obama was reelected and that Obamacare is the law of the land. Republicans are authoritarian, they hate democracy and freedom, so because they didn't get their way, they shutdown the government. No the sky didn't fall as some idiots pointed out in an attempt to diminish the effects of the shutdown, but 800,000 government employees are affected and others are affected too. Parks are closed, food isn't being inspected, and children are going without food. Republicans are fucking unethical and I think it's time to vote them all out next year. They have proven ineffectual as leaders and they need to be voted out. Of course with gerrymandering, that might be harder, but I trust the voters will have the potential to be smart and not elect these Republicans. The Republicans are the "Government Shutdown Party", let's never forget or forgive.

A Few Notes on the Zimmerman Verdict

1. In retrospect, Trayvon Martin, his family, and his supporters never had a chance. When the other side subjects the jury and the media to endless smears, misinformation, and craziness, their chance of winning increases dramatically.

2. Race in America: a white man is free for murdering an innocent black kid, a black women is going to jail for firing a warning shot and not hitting her abusive husband, and the Supreme Court just took away the right to vote from thousands of black people in the South. At least Paula Deen is getting punished...sort of.

3. We shouldn't deny one important reason why Zimmerman was found not guilty. He wasn't not guilty because the prosecution couldn't prove beyond reasonable doubt that he was guilty. No, he was found not guilty because his side had to use racial prejudice to make Trayvon sound like some sort of violent thug. Without prejudice, Trayvon was an innocent kid walking home to enjoy some Skittles and fought back against a creepy stalker who was following him, Zimmerman's defense couldn't allow that, so they turned him into a thug who started the fight. Racism and prejudice are alive today.

4. Zimmerman was never on trial, Trayvon Martin was. He was found guilty on the charge of being black and refusing to know his place and be profiled. Zimmerman just retroactively became the executioner. Nothing is more insulting than telling the friends and family that Martin died as the aggressor. The courts say one thing, but the truth is Zimmerman was wrong to stalk Martin, Martin was right to defend himself and kick his ass, and Zimmerman was wrong to pull out a gun and murder Martin.

5. I think we need to make Trayvon Martin a civil rights hero, you can't reply to the way Martin was demonized with "just a kid buying Skittles." The civil rights battles of the past were the result of normal people just trying to live normal lives. But they became heroes because they stood up to assholes who created stupid and racist laws that prevented them from doing normal things like sitting in a bus or walking home without getting stalked, harassed, and murdered by a bully with a gun. Trayvon Martin should be the face of modern civil rights. As long as racism exists, so should heroes who stand up to racism.

6. I don't want to hear people whine about how Zimmerman's life is ruined, he ended Trayvon's life.

Trayvon Martin: American Hero

Regardless of the verdict against George Zimmerman, I think we should remember Trayvon Martin as someone who refused to back down. Zimmerman, a creepy dude tried to harass Martin because he was black, or young, or not wearing the right clothes and Martin stood up to him. And the coward Zimmerman shot him in cold blood instead of accepting that Martin was in the right to defend himself from him. That's what this case is about, a young black man refusing to let someone unjustly tell him what to do. Of course some say he probably shouldn't have used violence against Zimmerman, but that's just blaming the victim. Not only is he a victim, but a hero and we need to remember him even if the murderer Zimmerman walks free. We need to name parks and buildings and streets after him. We need to remember the day he was shot February 26th and honor him.

Independence Day

237 years ago, brave people sacrificed themselves for our freedom. They openly defied the government and were called "traitors." They had to flee good lives and wealth because they did the right thing. While they were called "traitors" then, we call them "heroes" today. If you don't know what it's like to be them, ask Edward Snowden.

I think it's time for me to return to RICM, there are a lot of things to rant about. To all my haters, fuck you, I don't care what you think.

A Theory About the Trayvon Martin Murder

I believe there is a symbolic aspect to the Trayvon Martin case and the fact that he had Skittles when he was murdered by Zimmerman. Skittles are like the rainbow and the rainbow is a symbol of gay rights. Skittles also represent color/racial diversity and that along with gay rights are two things conservatives hate. I'm not saying that Zimmerman killed Martin over the Skittles, he probably didn't know that he had them. But I think subconsciously many conservatives are defending Zimmerman because they hate diversity and Skittles are a symbol of it. Just a little theory of mine.

Bill Hicks RIP

"You're getting really baffled here. Piece of shit! Now walk away. That's all it is, it's nothing more! Free yourself, folks. If you see it: 'Piece of shit!' Say it and walk away. You're right! You're right, not those fuckers who want to tell you how to think! You're fucking right!"
