Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me and I welcome their hatred.-FDR

Immortal Words of Bill Hicks

"The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this ju...
st a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we … kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace."

Bill would be 51 today. RIP dude!

Hiatus Again

Obama won, yay!  I'm going to take a break from politics and maybe a permanent break from this blog.  If I do post something, it will probably be something about Bill Hicks.  To be honest, I hate politics, I just want the good people to win.  If getting involved in politics gets the good people elected, then it's a necessary evil.  I'm not going to pour on Romney and Republicans, I've already done that enough.  I need some time for self-improvement and maybe I will be back to work on the St. Petersburg election.  Bye!

Not Much Posting

Haven't been posting a lot lately. Can I tell a secret? I'm sick of politics. I really am. But I can't just make politics go away while conservatives try to destroy the world. I follow politics because I want the good people to win and the bad people to lose. But I think politics are also bad for me and they have gotten in the way of my life and happiness. So here's the deal: when Obama gets reelected this November and it's fair to say that will happen, I'm taking half a year off from following politics. I will resume a healthy interest in politics when the mayoral race in St. Petersburg starts next year. Like I said, I'm currently sick of politics, I don't think I've had a break since I was 16 and Bush stole the 2000 election, so I've been into politics for 12 years now. I need a break.

Joe the Plumber=Psychopath

Yes, this idiot is still making news:

Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher is not politically correct and he's proud of it. And to prove it, the Ohio Republican congressional candidate told a crowd of about 125 supporters in Arizona that the government should "put a damn fence on the border going with Mexico and start shooting."

If "not politically correct" you mean "fucking psychopath", then yes. I have become sick of people using the terms "politically correct" or "politically incorrect." People are not politically incorrect, they are offensive, racist, insensitive, etc. And no, calling Joe a psychopath is not itself offensive, he really is one! Saying "build a wall and start shooting" is about as psychopathic as you can get. And in regards to the recent shootings in Colorado, Wisconsin, and Texas, is probably something you shouldn't say. This dude is just some crazy asshole who got too much attention and now thinks he can go into politics, let's marginalize these people like Joe...these psychopathic people.

Shameful

More victims of gun crimes are added to that wall every day and asshole gun nuts just add insult to injury with their lies and propaganda. Shameful. It's time for more gun control.

Idiot of the Week (On Hold)

I am putting the "Idiot of the Week" segment on hold for a while. It has become more of a chore and I might get rid of it altogether. Of course the idiot of the week is the gun nut James Holmes who shot up the theater in Aurora, Colorado. There's that culture of guns that keeps on killing. Time for some more gun control.

Zimmerman to Trayvon's Parents: "I'm an Asshole!"

Yes this murderer is still making news.

Last night, in his first interview since killing the unarmed 17-year-old, the former neighborhood watch volunteer said the shooting death must have been part of "God's plan" and that he prays for the Martin family daily.

What an asshole. Seriously, who says something like that and calls it an apology? Why don't you take all the money you raised from racists for defense and give it to the parents, that would be a lot better than telling them his death was God's plan. I think our jails are overcrowded, but I would love to send people like George Zimmerman to jail. Maybe we can free all the non-violent pot users to make some room.

I'm Back! (Sort of)

Yeah, just decided to pop in to say hi. Sort of paying attention to the presidential race. Watching some baseball, Rays are sort of "meh" right now, hope they pick it up later in the season. I predicted a 100 win season for them, but due to injuries and shitty offense and defense, I don't think they will go all the way this year, maybe next year.

Anywho, I am back, sort of. I might post a few posts here and there, not a lot of readers. I think my spam detector has kept anybody from commenting. So again, hi!

Not much posting, I guess I will make my hiatus official. Be back in a while. Until then, enjoy this:

Idiot of the Week

Anders Behring Breivik

The Norwegian who massacred 77 people to protest against Muslim immigration to Europe said on Monday he had hoped to kill as many as 150 and kept on killing because police failed to respond urgently to his phone call.

Breivik has given a detailed account of his car bomb attack at government headquarters in Oslo on July 22, which killed eight people, followed hours later by his shooting of 69 people, mostly teenagers, at a Labour Party island camp.

He said on Monday his "gruesome" actions were to prevent a civil war caused, he said, by a Muslim takeover of Europe.

Yikes! Here is the craziest part:

Breivik said he spared some people, including a 10-year-old boy whose father was his first victim, and a Labour Party activist because he looked right-wing."

Some people have the type of look that is associated with the leftist movement," Breivik said.

How can someone "look leftist?" Either way, conservatives are dangerous and violent people, anyone of them could turn into Breivik in a heartbeat.

I'm not even going to repost the comment here.

Idiot of the Week

Allen West

“No, it’s a good question,” he said, adding: “I believe there is about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party.”

West is a crazy, deluded, and sick man, we don't need him in office; let's vote him out. The days of McCarthyism should have ended a long time ago.

Also, since George Zimmerman has been arrested, his short tenure as my idiot-until-further-notice is over and now he can go to jail, hopefully.

LOL!

I'd love to see what is below the last one!

Reminder

Whenever you hear somebody talk about the George Zimmerman case and they try to bombard you with "GET THE FACTS! GET THE FACTS!" blather, they are really saying, "I LOVE YOU GEORGE ZIMMERMAN!" I think it's pretty safe to say that Zimmerman murdered Trayvon and it wasn't self-defense, so when you keep demanding for more "facts", you have chosen the side of the murderer. And to that I say, "FUCK YOU!"

"If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor."

Happy Birthday Albert Gore!

64 years old today.

Fun fact: I named myself after Albert Gore.

Monday, March 26, 2012

Idiot of the Week

Newt Gingrich

In the big news story about the cold-blooded murder of Trayvon Martin, there are a lot of choices to choose from including Geraldo, the Sanford police chief, and the lying neighbors who said that said that Martin attacked Zimmerman. Newt takes the cake (figuratively and literally, he's fat) referring to Obama's passionate words about Martin's death:

"Is the President suggesting that if it had been a white who had been shot that would be ok because it didn’t look like him?"

Seriously, is Gingrich running to be the president of the KKK (stupid question, the Republican Party is basically the KKK)? Seriously, can anybody say anything that dumb and racist and not be wearing a white robe and hood? Racists do two things, they hate non-whites and they pretend that other white people are persecuted and accuse non-whites of being racist against them. The latter is what Gingrich is accusing Obama of doing. As a white person, racists offend me and don't speak me. Gingrich can kiss my non-racist ass!

Joke

What is the difference between Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman?

One wore a hoodie and the other wears a hood.

But it's not a joke.

Saturday, March 24, 2012

Why?

Here's a story from Crazyville about Santorum:

The former senator, who boasts that he is from the part of Pennsylvania where President Obama said people “cling to guns or religion,” began his last day campaigning in Louisiana by picking up a Colt 45 and emptying two magazines into a circular target, not a human-shaped one.

He thanked the range master, who complimented his shooting, for a chance “to get those juices flowing in the morning” and told the crowd, “What I was able to exercise was one of those fundamental freedoms that’s guaranteed in our Constitution, the right to bear arms.”

A woman in the audience suggested, “Pretend it’s Obama,” unnerving the Secret Service. Santorum later said he did not hear the comment.

The "pretend it's Obama" comment is bad enough, but I think we are missing the bigger picture: why are presidential candidates shooting at any targets at all? I think people like Santorum set up their crazy followers to say things like that and they should be held responsible. Shooting at a target should not be a normal thing to do for a campaigning candidate, then again Santorum is not normal.

Happy 2nd Birthday to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act!

Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

It was actually yesterday, but still happy birthday to the greatest legislation passed since the 70's!

My Tampa Bay Rays will go 102-60 this season. Good pitching and hopefully a better offense will propel them to the AL East title and hopefully to the World Series. It's time to stop "almost" winning it and win!

Conservatives are Dumb Part 2,198,498

For those of you who didn't get my Zombie Hicks joke, I really don't know what to say. I guess I can explain it, Bill Hicks died in 1994 so he would be 18 this year and that is the legal voting age, hence Zombie Hicks voting for Obama. If you didn't get the reference, you wouldn't get the joke. But I think there is another reason, conservatives are just dumb. There's a reason why most comedy comes from the left, comedy is based on intelligence and liberals are smarter, so conservatives wouldn't get the jokes. And most the jokes are aimed at conservatives in the first place, so of course they wouldn't get them because doing so would inherently change their worldview.

Minor Name Change

You know how my name is Albert Blue Cirrus? Well I'm making a minor change to it. Here it is:

ALBERT BLU CIRRUS

Notice what I did there? I removed the "e" from the end of "Blue." I don't know how many times I've used the full "Blue" in my name, but that era is coming to an end.

Why am I doing this? You will find out some day, so please don't ask.

Rant on Gun Nuts

(From a blog reply.)

What the gun nuts have done is make us more afraid and paranoid. They use incidents of criminals with guns to justify making us scared and more armed when those incidents rarely happen. And then an accident happens like the church shooting because there was a gun in the wrong place. These accidental shootings are a thousand times worse than shootings from criminals because all the people involved are innocent. So you can cite as many incidents where someone “saves the day” because they had a gun, the chance of someone accidentally being hurt really overwhelms any good that could come from increase in the number of guns. Also as I’ve stated before, the criminals with the guns have the same gun nut mentality as those vigilantes who arm themselves to the teeth, so it’s pretty much a wash; they stop the problems they created. But the main thing about guns is that they create an atmosphere of fear, that’s the one thing we should take from Bowling for Columbine. Fear of criminals with guns, fear of not having a gun, fear of someone with a gun accidentally firing their gun, fear of a kid finding a gun, etc. Fear at this level can be classified as terrorism. Not only are these gun nuts cultists, but they are to an extant terrorists. Society can do without gun nuttery.

Idiot of the Week

Foster Friess

Foster Friess, the biggest donor to the super PAC supporting Rick Santorum, suggested women used aspirin as a contraceptive.

"Back in my days, they used Bayer aspirin for contraceptives," Friess said in an MSNBC interview today. "The gals put it between their knees and it wasn't that costly."

But did it work you moron? Back in your days people did a lot of stupid things that today would be laughable.

"Between their knees?" I assume he meant "between their legs", but I guess if people fucked knees in his days, that would be successful as a birth control. You don't even need Aspirin. I mean babies don't come from knees! Lol! What an idiot!

A Kennedy is Returning to Congress!

Great news!

Joseph Kennedy III said Wednesday he's formally jumping into the race for the congressional seat now held by retiring U.S. Rep. Barney Frank.

With all the rich fuck-up families like the Bushes, Kochs, and the Romneys, it's great to have a family like the Kennedys in politics.

Funny Because it's True

Conservatives are Plain Stupid

After weeks of reading the comments from the troll who tries to get past my comment filter, I have (re)realised an important point: conservatives are stupid and incapable of any rational dialogue. While you can't fix stupidity, you can surely outnumber it and it's time for liberals to take this country back from these stupid idiots who pretend they have a rational opinion.

Idiot of the Week

Susan G. Komen Foundation
While they deserve praise for their work in fighting breast cancer, dissing an organization that helps women is not a good idea. Even though they reversed the decision on Planned Parenthood, I think the damage is done. Anti-choicers are destructive people and because of a few bad choices, a great organization could fall as a result.

Idiot of the Week

Indiana

Gov. Mitch Daniels says he is ready to make Indiana the 23rd right-to-work state as soon as a bill reaches his desk.

It shouldn't be called "right-to-work", that is Orwellian. It should be called, "anti-right-to-unionize" because it will make it harder to form a union. The war on unions will continue until something is done. But night is darkest before dawn, it will get worse for unions before it gets better and it will get better. The labor movement was born out of hostile times and I have hope that it can survive this latest anti-union onslaught. If not, the US is headed for bad times for workers. Without unions there to constantly push for freedoms, slowly businesses and governments will erode those freedoms the labor movement fought for. Does anybody really want that to happen?

And another thing, I put "Indiana" as the idiot and not Daniels or the Republicans who drafted the bill for a reason. When the people in the state keep voting for anti-union Republicans, don't be surprised when they vote to bust unions, the voters should share some blame. Ditto for other states with strong union membership who elect Republicans. When you sleep with the anti-union dogs, don't be surprised when you wake up with anti-union fleas.

Joke

How do you know that liberals invented the Wii?

Because if a conservative invented it, it would have been called a "Mii."

Sunday, January 22, 2012

Romney is a "Rich Fuck"

Fresh off his defeat in South Carolina to that Fat Fuck Newt Gingrich, I think I need to make a point about Mitt Romney to just add insult to injury. Romney is one of those types of rich people who I would describe as a "rich fuck." You know how in 2008 when McCain forgot how many homes he owned and that showed how elitist he was? Well, Romney has those moments every day like saying how he likes to fire people or makes a 10,000 dollar bet or says that corporations are people. Most of his fortune came from his vulture capitalist business Bain (not the Batman villain) Capital. Essentially his entire fortune came from being a parasite. A lot of rich people make money for better or worse by at least being somewhat productive, not Romney. Romney is an elitist, greedy, parasitic, rich fuck. He is the worse kind of rich person and he would make a terrible president.

Idiot of the Week

Keystone Pipeline Supporters

Ha ha! The president did the right thing, let's all just hope that the decision is permenant and the pipeline is never built. The harder it is to access fossil fuels, the sooner it will be that we totally get off fossil fuels for good. Ha ha! :-P

Happy 39th Birthday!

Billboard Reading

A person is driving down a road outside a city and they read all the billboards describing what is in the city. They see a sign for a mall and say, "They have a mall!" They see a sign for an amusement park and say, "They have an amusement park!" They see a sign for a zoo and say, "They have a zoo!" The next sign they see is old and hasn't changed in a while. The sign is mostly white and the faded message is incoherent. The person reads it and says, "And they have a Republican Party!"

(Un)presidential Quote

"I like being able to fire people."-Mitt Romney

Great presidents give us quotes like "Four score and seven years ago...", "Ask not what your country...", or "The only thing we have to fear...", not "I want to be able to fire your ass!"

Idiot of the Week

Raheem Morris

While I should have picked Mitt Romney or Rick Santorum, it's important as a sports fan to call out a terrible coach every once in a while, especially when you are a fan of that team. From 10-6 to 4-12 is a huge drop. Most teams can blame it on injuries or tough schedules, but the Bucs had no excuse for losing the last 10 games of the season. The defense was terrible and the penalties and turnovers were worse. Those kinds of things are the fault of the coach and Morris was a bad coach, the Bucs deserve better.

One Year Ago Today

A right-wing fanatic open-fired in a grocery store in Tucson killing 6 and wounding many others including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. She has since made a remarkable recovery and I hope she runs for reelection. We can't let conservatives win, this incident has inspired me as a liberal and has waken me up more to the ugliness of the other side. Here is my reaction a year ago. It's as true today as it was last year. Keep the victims in your thoughts and help me continue to fight the right-wing, or they would have died or suffered in vain.

Idiot of the Week

Republican Presidential Candidates

The Iowa Caucus is tomorrow and power-hungry Republicans have been beating each other up over who wants to lose to Obama for months. So much dirt has come out about each one and I don't think they will have enough strength to make it to November. Obama is the real winner tomorrow.
