Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me and I welcome their hatred.-FDR

ON HIATUS!!!!!

I'm not quitting blogging, but something needs to change. I'm sick of wasting 30 minutes every day writing a detailed blog post just so that nobody reads or comments (except from 1 or 2 retarded trolls) on it. I'm going to change my strategy so I can get more readers. I will read other liberal blogs and email a massive number of them so I can get enough of them to link to me. I'll get a healthy number of posters and build up a fan base. I will also continue to do stuff in my life including furthering my writing career.

Until then, peace out!

More Notes on the Chalk Full of Nuts Rally

No I didn't watch it and do you know why? I don't have to watch it to know it's shit. Even if Beck had the most eloquent speech, it wouldn't mean anything. If Hitler gave a speech about kittens, I wouldn't say, "awww, that was nice, I wuv kittens too." I would say, "you are an ethically challenged piece of shit!" Same for Beck, the dude is a racist and he is trying to ruin the legacy of King and anything he says is shit.

This rally coincides with the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. The reaction from the Bush Administration towards the black community was borderline eugenics and I think we must never forget that. So in many respects, the rally was racist on two fronts.

The comparison of the outrage to this rally on the left is not the same to the right-wing outrage to the mosque in New York. The Muslims building the mosque are peaceful and have no bad intentions towards New York unlike the 9/11 hijackers. On the other hand, Glenn Beck and his cult hate black people and hold nothing but hostility towards the legacy of King. And yes, King would have been on Beck's chalkboard. Beck's supporters should be compared to the KKK who were radical, the mosque supporters are moderate.

I don't think we should let this go. People need to know the truth about Beck. Beck is a cult leader with a fascist and racist ideology. Beck's hate should not go unanswered.

Fun Saturday Night/Sunday Morning

To keep me happy every Saturday night/Sunday morning, I listen to metal on a local radio station and drink Mikes Hard Lemonade. Head banging and metal! This is an insane world and I can make it a little less insane by rocking out!

Shorter Kevin Price

George Steinbrenner saved 600 million dollars by being dead.

Seriously, you can't get any stupider than that logic.

Idiot of the Week

Sheriff Lee Baca and the LA Police

Can someone tell me how this is legal? I hope the ACLU sues the levitating crap out of them.

Apology

In my rant yesterday about Glenn Beck, I left out something and I have to apologize.

Glenn Beck is also going to smear the Lincoln legacy as well as the King one.

With that said, Beck is an asshole, fuck him!

Friday Hicks

It's just a ride.

Bill Hicks, stabbing today's fear mongers and conservatives in their black fucking hearts from beyond the grave.

The 8/29 Project

We all know of Glenn Beck's smearing of Martin Luther King's legacy tomorrow, but he also smeared the memory of 9/11 with the "9/12 Project." So in response, I'm starting the 8/29 Project. How does an insane man like Glenn Beck make you feel? That anger you felt the day after tomorrow (8/29) should translate into something good. I have 8 values, I'm going to come up with 29 principles later. Here are those 8 values:

1. Reason
2. Peace
3. Happiness
4. Social Justice
5. Altruism
6. Empathy
7. Equality
8. Progress

Those 8 values are ones that the conservatives hate and are what should make America great.

Idiot of the Week

Harry Reid

Harry you bigot, you can't lower yourself to the standard of the opposition. If you do, you will lose your soul and be fucked. That goes for you Howard Dean.

The Price of Doing the Right Thing

Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, George Tiller, Malcolm X, John Lennon, etc were all shot for trying to do the right thing. But sometimes a lie can be just as fatal.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange said in an interview published on Sunday that he believes the Pentagon could be behind a rape accusation against him that was later dropped by Swedish prosecutors.

You are a hero Julian, if your document dump leads to peace in Afghanistan, you will be even more of a hero. Just watch out for crazy people in dark alleys.

Palin and the N-word

Palin is not just stupid, but violent and racist. In response to Dr. Laura using the N-word over and over again, she said this:

"Don't retreat...reload!"

So, if you call out a conservative for being racist, you will be threatened with death. If she is elected in 2012, we are fucked.

Why Why Why?

There are a lot of clueless people in this world, it sometimes takes Occam's Razor to point out the truth.

An Iraq war veteran who police say shot and killed his pregnant wife and young daughter before turning the gun on himself left behind no clues to explain what might have prompted the bloodshed, investigators say.

Let's see, a man is sent over to a foreign country with a gun and training on how to kill Iraqis and after a while of fighting in war, comes home to his wife and kid. Most of the time, nothing bad happens, but every so often one of them snaps and goes crazy. It's called PTSD, it effects every soldier to a certain degree. This is why we should only go to war when it's a last resort; war causes too much damage and not just on the battlefield.

Add 3 more deaths to the body count of this war.

Another Stupid Beloit College List

I know it's intended to be fun and not serious, but it's still retarded.

If you're a college freshman this fall, the Beloit College Mindset List says you can't write cursive.

It goes on. But the most offensive ones are the technological references. The ones that basically say "this generation never used this old shit." Of course poorer people don't have access to much of this technology, so they are mostly left out for these references. Unless of course Beloit College doesn't believe any poor people will go to college.

"Activist Judges"

D'oh!

The "Cordoba House is a victory for terrorists" crowd's credibility just took a hit from the truth.

Polluters Hit Close to Home

In Tallevast, Florida.

Of course it has to be Lockheed Martin, a business that should go out of business.

We see all the time large corporations go into these small communities and set up shop under the delusion that they will create jobs. But when they start to pollute, it ends up costing everyone their jobs. This is why communities should reject them before it's too late.

Sick of "Miracles"

I hate headlines like this:

'Miracle' in Colombia jet crash: 1 dies, 130 live

First off, there is no such thing as a fucking "miracle." Everything has an explanation even if we aren't collectively aware of it.

Second, even if there was such thing as "miracles", tell the family of that one dead person that the landing was a miracle. I dare you.

Baseball Needs Instant Replay

After reading this, how can anybody oppose this in a game?

Of course some do and they give this "there has to be a human element to the game" bullshit. There is a human element to the game, they are called "atheletes." I'd hate to be a player and get a call blown by some punk umpire. 20% is too much, this needs to change.

Stop Picking on Millionaires!

Whenever you see these "X-number myths" lists relating to the wealthy, become skeptical. All 7 of these are total or partial bullshit.

1. Millionaires Don't Pay Their Taxes. Fact: It is estimated that millionaires, those in the top 1% of earners, pay about 40 percent of all taxes. Current tax regulation shifts may change these numbers to make this even larger than that -- so think twice before accusing the millionaires in America of not paying taxes.

Straw man, nobody is accusing them of not paying taxes, just not paying enough taxes. The rich get most the income, so of course they will pay the most taxes. But they used to have a 90% tax rate, now it's under 40%, so if anything they need to pay more.

2. Millionaires Just Inherited Their Money. According to Thomas J. Stanley's book, "The Millionaire Next Door: The Surprising Secrets of America's Wealthy," only 20% of millionaires inherited their riches. The other 80% are what you'd call nouveau riche: first-generation millionaires who earned their cash on their own. Many millionaires simply worked, saved, and lived within their means to generate their wealth -- think accountants and managers: regular people going to work every day. Most millionaires didn't get their riches overnight when a rich relative died -- they worked for the money.

Again, another straw man. Nobody is accusing all of them of just inheriting their money, but still 20% is too high if you think about it. The idea that 1 out of every 5 millionaire you see just got their money from mom and dad would piss off anybody. And those other 4 out of every 5 were probably mostly well-to-do before getting into the business world so they could get into the good schools or the good job that made them a millionaire.

3. Millionaires Feel Rich. From the outside looking in, you would think that millionaires feel rich and secure, but that's not so. Most millionaires worry about retirement, their kids' college fund and the mortgage just like the rest of us. Those worries are greatest among new millionaires, the people who just recently acquired their wealth.

Okay, now this is total bullshit. If you are a millionaire and don't "feel" rich, you are either retarded or paralyzed. And even if you are worrying about stuff, you still "feel" rich, period.

4. Millionaires Have High-Paying Jobs. It certainly doesn't hurt to be gainfully employed, but half of all millionaires are self-employed or own a business. It does help to have a college degree, as about 80 percent are college graduates, though only 18% have master's degrees.

This is even more bullshittier than 3, IF YOU ARE A MILLIONAIRE, YOU HAVE A HIGH-PAYING JOB!!!!! I guess if you had a low or medium paying job, you can earn a million dollars in your life...if you retired at a 100.

5. Millionaires All Drive Fancy Cars. You can get that idea of the rich guy in a fancy German car out of your head when you think of a millionaire: They actually drive a Ford, with the carmaker topping the millionaire preferred car list at 9.4 percent. Cadillacs run second on the millionaires' favorite car list, and Lincolns third according to onmoneymaking.com.

Car payments are an investment with little return, which is why someone looking to grow wealth avoids high-priced vehicles in favor of a more economical set of wheels.

Depends on your definition of "fancy." But I'm guessing if you are a millionaire, you drive a more fancier car than me.

6. Millionaires Hang Around the Golf Course All Day. Those millionaires are all retired, with nothing else to do but hang around the golf course, right? Wrong. Only 20 percent of millionaires are retirees, with a full 80 percent still going to work. It's not as glamorous or fun, but millionaires go to work just like you do; it's how the money gets in the bank.

Again, another straw man. If they hung around the golf courses all day, they would get sun burnt. Millionaires hang around the golf course more than the average person, that's what the issue is.

7. Millionaires Are Elitists. We've already established that most millionaires earned their money and not inherited it, still go to work, drive a Ford, and worry about their kids' college expenses. Sounds a lot like the rest of America, right? Millionaires come in all shapes and sizes -- some may be elitists, but most are just regular Joes who successfully managed their money.

Shit, IF YOU ARE A MILLIONAIRE, YOU ARE ELITIST!!!!! You might not act like a dick, but you are still better-off than the rest of us.

The Bottom Line. Maybe you see a pattern here: Today's millionaires are people who live within their means, budget and spend wisely, and focus on financial independence first. These are habits that take discipline, but ones we can all adopt to begin growing wealth. If these facts prove anything, it's that every one of us can strive to become a millionaire -- you can start by driving your old car with pride.

After reading these bullshit points, I've realized that there will always be this mentality. People will always try to make the rich seem "less rich", but that can't take away the fact that they are better off than the rest of us. While I don't hate all rich people, I think that their wealth is the result of intellectual laziness and social hostility.

I don't know Claire Bradley, but I assume she is not a millionaire. That last point is the biggest piece of shit. Not everyone can strive to be rich, we need to all acknowledge that if we are going to strive for more wealth equality.

Republicans are Losing their Minds over the Cordoba House

This issue is really starting to get old.

Republicans pounced on US President Barack Obama's comments supporting the right to build a mosque near Ground Zero Sunday, painting him as out of touch less than three months before key mid-term elections.

Out of touch? Isn't that what Republicans refer to New Yorkers as? I sense some fake outrage here.

"This is not about freedom of religion, because we all respect the right of anyone to worship according to the dictates of their conscience," US Senator John Cornyn, a Texas Republican, said on Fox News Sunday.

"But I do think it's unwise... to build a mosque at the site where 3,000 Americans lost their lives as a result of a terrorist attack. And I think to me it demonstrates that Washington, the White House, the administration, the president himself seems to be disconnected from the mainstream of America."

Horse-fucking liar! It's two blocks from ground zero. Republicans need to quit pretending they support mainstream America, because they don't.

Why Not?

If Israel can boss the world around, why can't other nations do the same?

Ignoring a U.S. warning, Arab nations are urging Washington and other powers to end support of Israel's nuclear secrecy and to push the Jewish state to allow international inspections of its program, diplomats told The Associated Press Sunday.

It's only fair.

Malkintented is at it Again

You can sometimes judge a post by its title:

How Obama is locking up our land

It's just Malkintented railing against environmentalists trying to, uh protect the environment and "locking up" all the precious from developers. Honestly, how can any rational person oppose such a plan? Oh wait, conservatives are not rational, they never have been. Like I commented on my last post, When the opposition so adamantly opposes something right, doing the right thing becomes an act of bravery.

This has become a theme within the liberal/conservative divide; liberals are always on the side of doing the right thing while conservatives try to "morally" justify doing the wrong thing. That's why I wake up every morning and thank goodness I'm a liberal.

Idiot of the Week

Robert Gibbs

First it was Rahm Emanuel, now it's Gibbs. True liberals are getting fire from both the pussy Democrats and the fascist right, this has got to stop. Gibbs needs to be fired.

Idiocy of Doug Powers

Latest gem from Doug:

President Obama broke his silence on the Ground Zero mosque debate during a speech at tonight’s Ramadan dinner at the White House. Based on that, can you guess on which side of the issue he falls?

Uh, on the side of religious freedom? Oh wait I got a few more headlines for Doug:

President Obama broke his silence on the anti-kitten punching debate during a speech at tonight’s Humane Society dinner at the White House. Based on that, can you guess on which side of the issue he falls?

President Obama broke his silence on the endangered species debate during a speech at tonight’s Sierra Club dinner at the White House. Based on that, can you guess on which side of the issue he falls?

President Obama broke his silence on the Holocaust debate during a speech at tonight’s Yom Kippur dinner at the White House. Based on that, can you guess on which side of the issue he falls?

President Obama broke his silence on the drunk driving debate during a speech at tonight’s Mothers Against Drunk Driving dinner at the White House. Based on that, can you guess on which side of the issue he falls?

I can go on forever, but you get the picture. When the opposition so adamantly opposes something right, doing the right thing becomes an act of bravery.

Dohhhhh!g Powers.

The PTC Police

The Christian Right continues to try to make television less fun in every aspect.

The PTC is urging marketers to not sponsor the show "unless they wish to associate their hard-earned brands with excrement."

If the show wanted to associate itself with excrement, they would have called themselves "Parents Television Council My Dad Says."

Idiot of the Week

Ben Nelson

Kagan was confirmed 63-37. Notice there's one Democrat who didn't vote to confirm her. Yes it's Nelson, a fake Democrat.

Nelson makes Lieberman look liberal.

I Hate This Headline

Gulf seafood industry tries to shake an oily image.

Whenever you think of someone trying to "shake an image", it's usually their fault for the image. The seafood industry did nothing wrong, they are the victims here. If anyone has to shake an image, it's BP.

If the headline was about gunshot victims, would the headline read, "Gunshot victims try to shake a bloody image?" I don't think so.

LMAO!

Do you know what is sweeter than the judge in California overturning the Prop 8? The fact that so many homophobes wasted their money supporting it just to have it get overturned.

A Different Viewpoint on Hiroshima

Today is the 65th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima, Japan and many people believe the bombings were wrong. While I don't condone civilian casualties, I also realize that shit happens in war. But I am a rare anti-nuker who was not against the Hiroshima bombing* and I have a unique reason why. I believe the bombings prevented larger and more destructive nukes from being launched during the Cold War. The horrors at Hiroshima and Nagasaki made even the most hawkish of politicians less nuke-happy. Imagine if the first nuke dropped was dropped on Moscow how many more people would have died. Think of that next time you think of Hiroshima.

*The Nagasaki bombing a few days later though was probably not necessary since Japan probably got the message with one nuked city.

Billionaire Philanthropy will not Save Us

While this sounds nice on its surface, it's can't cover up economic pornography.

Dozens of U.S. billionaires pledged on Wednesday to give at least 50 percent of their fortunes to charity as part of a philanthropic campaign by two of the world's richest men -- Warren Buffett and Bill Gates.

Isn't that nice. But if you think about it, the reason why they are billionaires in the first place is because they don't spread the fucking money around in the first place. The richest have had the least amount of taxes in generations, so they will continue to get richer until the tax code improves. Also, if you think about it, without the help of the government, nobody could ever gain the amount of wealth in a lifetime. This is especially true for people who sit around and don't even break a sweat.

Of course to be fair, dozens is a lot of people...until you read this:

Forbes said the United States is home to 403 billionaires, the most of any country.

Fuck.

So this half-assed measure is even half-assed. The poor and middle class will continue to suffer without some massive government-mandated redistribution method that includes taxing the levitating crap out of these billionaires. That is the only peaceful way of doing it because people don't stay hungry for long and will take the money by force if they have to, and charitable giving will only delay the revolution a few years.

Happy 49th Birthday Obama!

Now pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan ASAP.

The FBI is Out of Control

This is just insane.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation keeps close tabs on the image you see over director Robert Mueller's shoulder — the official FBI seal. Which is why it has threatened the online encyclopedia Wikipedia with criminal prosecution if it doesn't remove the image of the seal that it uses to illustrate the FBI's Wikipedia entry.

I remember the Ashcroft boob covering incident at the Justice Department, this is much worse. When an agency goes after a website for just using its seal in a picture, it has too much power.

Gore Cleared

Seriously, will people now please leave the poor guy alone?

Former Vice President Al Gore has been cleared of a massage therapist's sexual abuse allegations due to "lack of credible evidence," prosecutors in Portland, Ore., said Friday.

Of course, the right hates Gore and everything he stands for, so there isn't a chance they will leave him alone.

Idiot of the Week

I don't know, can't think of any. How about the New York Yankees? Fuck them!
