Sometimes after paragraphs of lies and half-truths, a conservative tells the truth.
That exemplifies left-wing idealism — imagining a utopian future. There will be no poor, no war, no conflict, no inequality. That future is only a few more government programs away from reality. And who stands in the way of such perfection? Conservatives. How could a utopian not hate a conservative?
I understand Prager thinks he's being sarcastic here, but sometimes in jest the truth comes out. This is why I am a liberal and hate conservatism, I hope for a better tomorrow. Of course there will never be a total utopia, but we should work towards that goal and damn anyone who stands in the way.

When it Rains, it Pours
Another example of oil fucking our environment.
Federal officials now estimate that more than 1 million gallons of oil may have spilled into a major river in southern Michigan, and the governor is sharply criticizing clean-up efforts as "wholly inadequate."
As long as we depend on oil, crap like this will happen. We need to switch to wind and solar.

Gibson and Tiffany Talk About the New Face of Banality and Mediocrity
I've joked before that Miley is the result of not kicking mediocre singers in the nuts. Two ghosts from the 80's talk about her and I find it funny. In the pop world, mediocrity and banality are praised.
Here's Bill Hicks on this.
I'm not so much against the concept of malls, it's just the mall culture I don't like. I spend like 75% of the time in Spencers Gifts, that's the kind of shopper I am.

Justice Does Not Exist
Headlines like this show there is little hope for justice in the world.
Hayward's 'Golden Parachute' Is Relatively Modest
The details of his "modest" parachute:
If he leaves the company, he stands to walk away with a compensation package that includes about $1.5 million in salary and a pension worth $17 million. That will seem like an unforgivable sum to many people. But as "golden parachutes" go, his deal is actually quite modest.
The phrase "go to jail, don't pass go, don't collect 200 dollars" comes to mind. I guess in the corporate world, punishment is not getting as much money as you should have gotten. This is really fucked up, how did we get to this?*
*Rhetorical question, I know the answer to that question: conservatism brainwashing society into thinking that this is "moral."

92 Republicans Want Native Americans to get Raped
There's no way else to say it, but when 92 out of 170 (more than half) vote against a bill to help prevent rape against Native American women, you have to come to that conclusion.

Idiot of the Week
Glenn Beck
While normally I would be concerned with someone's health, but Beck is one of those exceptions. Beck has shown a lack of empathy for humanity and I feel this sense of schadenfreude at Beck. The dude has bad Karma and disgracing the name of Martin Luther King next month is just part of it. I feel the same way about Rush Limbaugh losing his hearing from overuse of Oxy, if he was just a random drug user, I would feel sorry for him. Although I wish both Rush and Glenn would go mute so they would shut the fuck up.

The Hatred and Bigotry of Sarah Palin
Say what you will about Joe Biden making gaffes, Palin is a bigot.
Palin could have just shut her fucking mouth, but she doesn't want to alienate her base.

"God Hates Comic Books"
Fred Phelps is becoming a bigger and bigger joke every day.
Why Comic-Con? According to Westboro’s website: “Are you kidding?! If these people would spend even some of the energy that they spend on these comic books, reading the Bible, well no high hopes here. They have turned comic book characters into idols, and worship them they do! Isaiah 2:8... The destruction of this nation is imminent — so start calling on Batman and Superman now, see if they can pull you from the mess that you have created with all your silly idolatry.”
You know, I would think someone like Phelps would embrace comic books. Most attending the convention are virgins, so they are already practicing abstinence. (Watch Colbert steal that joke.)

Hell to Pay for Shirley Sherrod
Not just from Breitbart and the conservative media, but from the NAACP and the pussy president. They were too quick to condemn an innocent woman. I was watching Keith's monologue last night on MSNBC about it and it is apparent, we are in a war against the Republicans and conservatives. They will do anything to destroy Obama and liberals. Obama needs to grow a dick. He needs to realize that he needs to get tougher against these teabag fucks. Obama needs to stop pretending to pretend he is FDR and act like him. The quote at the top of this site from FDR inspires me and should inspire every Democrat and liberal. If conservatives hate us, we should welcome that hate instead of being pussies.
As for the NAACP, I was all for them condemning the teabagger racism, but a week later they got fooled and went after Shirley Sherrod also. I think this is the worst thing they have ever done in their 100 year history. Shame.

There is no "Double Standard" or "Exception to the Rule"
I hear a lot of people use the term "double standard" to mean that one side gets an unfair advantage over another out of bias. The term itself is a myth. A standard can't be double unless there are two standards. It's the same thing with the phrase "exception to the rule." If there is a rule, there can't be an exception to it unless there is another rule. In short, there are no double standards or exceptions to rules, but there are standards to a double and rules to exceptions.

The Mark Williams Situation Exposes the Fakeness of the "Tea Party"/Teabagger Movement
Mark Williams has been booted.
The National Tea Party Federation, an organization that represents the Tea Party political movement around the country, has expelled Williams and his Tea Party Express organization because of the inflammatory blog post Williams wrote last week, federation spokesman David Webb said Sunday.
The teabaggers would like to claim that they are a loose and independent collection of Americans who just randomly show up and protest. It seems this whole structure thing seems counter to what they are allegedly for. In reality, they are just a branch of the Republican Party. Heck, the Loon is planning a "Tea Party Caucus."
It's interesting to question why Mark Williams was really "fired." Williams scrubbed the racist NAACP satire from his website and to me it seems like that must have made him seem "weak." In other words, the National "Tea Party" Federation booted him for not being racist enough. It's kind of scary if you think about it.

The Idiocy of Doug Powers Part 4
Here's another hilarious post from Malkintented's "guest"* blogger Doug Powers.
Nancy Pelosi and Debbie Stabenow, both supporters of the right to partial birth abortion even when the life of the mother is not at stake,
First off, "partial birth" is one of those Orwellian terms the right uses, the procedure is called "intact dilation and extraction." Second, the vast majority of those procedures are for "life at stake" cases in the third trimester, so that statement doesn't make sense.
got a nod of appreciation last night from all the members of Planned Parenthood whose mothers didn’t take advantage of Planned Parenthood’s primary service.
Yeah, I'm guessing Doug thinks Planned Parenthood's primary service is abortion, it's not.
In 2007, contraception constituted 36% of total services, STI/STD testing and treatment constituted 31%, cancer testing and screening constituted 17%; other women's health procedures, including pregnancy, prenatal, midlife, and infertility were 11%, and approximately 3% of total procedures involved surgical and medical abortions.
Yeah that's some "primary service" there. One can make the argument that Planned Parenthood has done more to stop abortions than any other organization in the country because they provide contraception. Unless Doug thinks that contraception=abortion, then his point might be valid. But in reality he is full of shit.
I’ve been fully aware that Nancy Pelosi is shameless for a long time, and I realized the same about Debbie Stabenow the day the very overweight Senator dedicated herself to lowering the rate of childhood obesity (Though admittedly Stabenow’s strategy of “if I eat all the food there won’t be any left for the kids to get fat on” could make some difference).
Ha ha ha! Let's laugh at the fat bitch! Doug needs to become a comedian and start his own tv show. I hope it's more successful than other conservative shows before it.
*Has the term "guest" changed its meaning? Doug has been on Malkintented's blog for a few months, I don't think guests stay longer than a few days or a week or two. When will he be a "co-blogger?"

Call Me an Optimist
Some good can come out of tragedy.
In the middle of tomorrow, a great ribbed ghost has emerged from a distant yesterday.
On Tuesday morning, workers excavating the site of the underground vehicle security center for the future World Trade Center hit a row of sturdy, upright wood timbers, regularly spaced, sticking out of a briny gray muck flecked with oyster shells.
Obviously, these were more than just remnants of the wooden cribbing used in the late 18th and early 19th centuries to extend the shoreline of Manhattan Island ever farther into the Hudson River. (Lower Manhattan real estate was a precious commodity even then.)
“They were so perfectly contoured that they were clearly part of a ship,” said A. Michael Pappalardo, an archaeologist with the firm AKRF, which is working for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to document historical material uncovered during construction.
By Wednesday, the outlines made it plain: a 30-foot length of a wood-hulled vessel had been discovered about 20 to 30 feet below street level on the World Trade Center site, the first such large-scale archaeological find along the Manhattan waterfront since 1982, when an 18th-century cargo ship came to light at 175 Water Street.
The area under excavation, between Liberty and Cedar Streets, had not been dug out for the original trade center. The vessel, presumably dating from the mid- to late 1700s, was evidently undisturbed more than 200 years.
9/11 happened, we can't go back in time and stop it, but we can look to the future. As an optimist, I can say that this historical discovery is a good thing. When tragedy happens, you can't dwell on the past, you have to make something positive happen. Like the BP spill, no doubt that's bad, but the outrage could end up getting us off fossil fuels. Or the fascist Citizens United Supreme Court decision could end up getting a Constitutional amendment passed to end all corporate contributions to elections.
We will never beat terrorism with bombs or Islamophobia or taking our shoes off, we will win with positivity, hope, and discovering 200 year-old boats.

Conservatives aren't even Pretending they aren't Racist Anymore
Dickhead Dickheadson says it all:
"The Democrats will scream racism. Let them. Republicans are not going to pick up significant black support anyway."
Translation: "Let's be as racist as possible and not listen to the truth that we are racist. Oh and fuck blacks, they don't even like us, white power!"
Like I said, all conservatives are racist, some more explicit than others.

Just a Thought
The Russian spy story has disappeared from the media radar and is now "old news." The spies were swapped and everything will be alright.
Now imagine if they were Iranian spies, there would be calls for executions from the far-right.

Has "Under God" Been Reduced to Vandalism?
Our Pledge of Allegiance used to be "One Nation Indivisible" until a few years later when they added "under God" to it to "fight" the commies. Of course, if you know about the history of the original pledge, it was written by a socialist. It was also written after the Civil War when our nation was still recovering and "One Nation Indivisible" was added to sort of heal that divide. The irony is that part has been divided by "Under God." I feel that there was also a side agenda in the 50's to give some red meat to the racists to make them feel a little bit better about their efforts to divide the nation over slavery and adding "Under God" between "One Nation Indivisible." Atheists like blacks, women, and gays are hated by the rightwingers and any way they can further divide America, they will do. "Under God" will always be literal graffiti (see above) and vandalism as long as it's in the Pledge, and that needs to be taken out ASAP.

The Idiocy of Doug Powers Part 3
This should become an ongoing feature:
Let me get this straight — the William Morris Agency has reportedly dropped Mel Gibson as a client because he used the “N-word” in an unhinged privately recorded rant, but William Morris continues to represent the likes of P, Diddy, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, 50 Cent, and many more, who broadcast the same awful word to millions — daily, unabashedly and continually?
Sigh. Let me explain something to you Doug and let me be clear: YOU ARE WHITE!!!!! MEL GIBSON IS WHITE!!!!! YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO USE THAT WORD IN THAT MANNER, YOU RACIST FUCKING IDIOT!!!!!
There's term called "context", look it up.

Stock: What do you say then to a young girl, I am going to place it as he said it, when a young girl is raped by her father, let's say, and she is pregnant. How do you explain this to her in terms of wanting her to go through the process of having the baby?
Angle: I think that two wrongs don't make a right.
Here's the new Republican Party folks, the pro-rape and incest party.
Congrats Harry Reid on getting reelected!

My Solution: Tax the Wealthy
Some on the right say there isn't enough money to tax and spend on social programs, that's bullshit. They just don't want programs cause they hate progress. Let me explain this simply:
There are 300 million people in this country, so the wealthiest 1% represents 3 million people. Everyone of those people are already pretty wealthy, so taxes aren't a problem. If everyone of those people gives at least 100,000 dollars, that's 3 trillion right there. That alone can pay for a stimulus program that will create millions of jobs. Since there are some very wealthy millionaires and billionaires, they can pay more and we will generate an extra couple trillion. With that we can spend that on single-payer universal healthcare. The growth created by the stimulus will bring in more money and we will slowly also pay off the debt. If we cut military spending, there's more money for us. By taxing the very wealthy a lot more, we can solve every problem in the country.
But no, I'm just a dreamer. Nobody will have the guts to do this cause the wealthy already have too much power and will find loopholes. Greedy fucks. But I could be wrong. Prove me wrong Democrats, prove me wrong.

Are Conservatives Trying to Dumb Down America?
26% of Americans don't know we got independence from British.
What do we blame this idiocy on? IMHO, it's the 30 year long war on education started by the Republicans. It can be blamed on the intentional Orwellian rewriting of history. It can be blamed on the attacks on teachers unions. It can be blamed on the "intelligent design" movement. It can be blamed on budget cuts on schools, specifically arts programs. It can be blamed on vouchers and homeschooling. It can be blamed on the changing of textbooks to diminish the role of slavery.
Conservatives know that with a dumbed-down America, they will be able to regain power easier, we must stop them.

Forgetting Something Clinton?
From Hillary Clinton:
Intolerant governments across the globe are "slowly crushing" activist and advocacy groups that play an essential role in the development of democracy, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Saturday.
She cited a broad range of countries where "the walls are closing in" on civic organizations such as unions, religious groups, rights advocates and other nongovernmental organizations that press for social change and shine a light on governments' shortcomings.
Among those she named were Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Cuba, Egypt, Iran, Venezuela, China and Russia.
Let's not forget the United States. The targeting of ACORN, Planned Parenthood, and the ACLU has been unprecedented by the Republicans. And let's spread the blame around to the Democrats; your husband did sign the anti-union NAFTA and WTO agreements. So you shouldn't throw stones in a glass house Hillary.

Advice to Writers

Just Watched "The Big One"
I haven't gotten around to seeing it until today. It's the documentary by Michael Moore about his book tour for Downsize This. After watching the film, I hate corporate America more than before. Once I get enough money from being a writer, I will probably never go back to working for any corporation. I realize that those psychos who don't kill, torture, or blow up shit end up as CEOs or shareholders. The film was made 12 years ago and little has changed and nothing will change unless there is some sort of revolution, hopefully peaceful.
