"66% is a lot" says the reader. But where does that 66% come from?
The increase now goes to Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn, who supports the plan to temporarily raise the personal tax rate to 5 percent, a two-thirds increase from the current 3 percent rate.
Oh. Just 3 to 5 percent. If it went from 1 to 2 percent, would the headline read "Ill. faces 100 percent tax boost amid budget crisis?" Complete media spin.
