Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me and I welcome their hatred.-FDR

Another Reason to Thank Liberals

Increases in minimum wages.

Washington will be the first state to require a minimum wage of more than $9 an hour when it joins seven other states on Sunday in automatically adjusting salaries to keep up with inflation.

More than a million low-wage U.S. workers will see their hourly pay go up after the adjustment but many will remain mired in the ranks of the working poor in a country where nearly one-in-six live below the poverty line, according to U.S. Census Bureau statistics.

Based on a typical 2,000-hour work year, the wage increases that take effect on New Year's Day in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Montana, Ohio, Oregon, Vermont and Washington translate into annual salaries for minimum-wage workers of between $15,280 and $18,080.

Remember, this is to keep up with inflation. As prices go up, so should salaries. Businesses would never do this on their own, they need liberals in the government and at the polls to constantly force them to do the right thing. So to workers making minimum wage: your welcome.

Patriot of the Year

Yes the award should go to the protesters around the world and in the US, but the award usually goes to one or in one case two people. I think one person inspired patriotism the most and that person is:

Elizabeth Warren

She announced that she is running for the great Ted Kennedy's old seat in Massachusetts being held by Scott "look at me I drive a truck" Brown. But she made a great point this year and it is worth quoting:

"There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody. You built a factory out there—good for you! But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for."

So thank you future Senator Elizabeth Warren, 2011's award goes to you!

Politi"fact"

This is really awful. Politifact, which is supposed to police false claims in politics, has announced its Lie of the Year — and it’s a statement that happens to be true, the claim that Republicans have voted to end Medicare.

Politifact has turned into the "Ministry of Truth", the only truth is what they say is true.

Global War"on Christmas"ming

Fewer white Christmases.

Looks like they are becoming rarer elsewhere in North America too, according to a recent analysis of weather records by Environment Canada. Researchers examined data from 1964 to 2009 and found that the chances of more than 2 centimeters of snow on the ground on December 25th had declined by a quarter.

Our grandchildren maybe asking us "what is snow?" someday. I wish I was wrong about the whole global warming thing, but science says the Earth is warming and that's all that matters. What we need to do is eliminate fossil fuels altogether and go with alternative fuels instead.

Idiot of the Week

Jerome Isaac

Overnight, a 47-year-old man smelling of gasoline went into a police station and implicated himself in Gillespie's death, Browne said. The suspect, Jerome Isaac, told police he set her on fire because she owed him $2,000 for some work he had done for her, Browne said.

What a terrible asshole, I hope he rots in jail forever!

Bill Hicks Day Quote

I posted this a year ago and I post this today on Bill Hicks Day.

The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we … kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.

Romney and the KKK

Romney is in trouble.

It's the type of coincidence every politician dreads. On Tuesday, political commenters reported that one of Romney's go-to campaign catch-phrases, "Keep America American," was a central theme of Ku Klux Klan publications in the 1920s, and served as a rallying cry for the white supremacist group's campaign of violence and intimidation against black Americans, as well as Catholics, gay people and Jews.

I for one doubt any coincidence, just about everything Republicans do and say is a racist dog whistle to racists.

Of course the folks at MSNBC have turned into pussies.

MSNBC issued a formal apology to Mitt Romney on Dec. 14 after a report during the morning broadcast that compared a slogan of the presidential candidate's to a slogan used by the Ku Klux Klan.

There is no comparing, it's equating, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THE KKK SAID! If racism and bigotry is ever going to be stopped, racists and bigots must be exposed. And shame on Mitt Romney for the slogan and MSNBC for apologizing for being right.

I was going to post some stuff on Bill Hicks this week, but I forgot to post it. I will post stuff tomorrow, sorry Bill.

Idiot of the Week

Herman Cain

Looks like the HUMAN SHIELD against racist accusations for Republicans has quit before the primary. I honestly thought he was going to stay in longer, but he quit Saturday. In retrospect, did anybody really take his candidacy that seriously besides the few crazies out there? I mean 9-9-9? What the fuck? Not knowing about Libya? Creepy aide who smokes? "Ubeki-beki-beki-beki-stan-stan?" China will get nukes? Let's not forget his Islamophobia. Of course then there is the sexual harassment while he was in charge of Godfathers Pizza (mafia connection too?). And let's not forget his lack of political experience. The same people who say Obama was not in office long enough are perfectly fine with Cain. His highest office was Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City 1995-1996. He also ran unsuccessfully for other offices.

Now that he has quit, it will pave the way for either Romney, Gingrich, or Perry. I'm still hoping for Perry because he is the weakest of the three at the general election level, but I believe can win over most the Republican bases. But whoever it is will be beat by Obama and despite his flaws needs to be reelected.

Joke

Why can't Herman Cain win most of the votes?

Because of the Herman Antitrust Act.

Occupy Movement, My Generation's Greatness Moment

Every generation has had its moment of greatness, why is my generation any different? My grandparents had the defeat of Germany and Japan, my parents had civil rights and the hippy protest of the Vietnam War, and now my generation (Generation Y/Millennials) has its greatness moment: the Occupy Movement. For the past 30 years, right-wing policies have slowly eroded good government laws and regulations and now corporations have too much power. The Occupy Movement which started at Wall Street is in its infancy and has potential for real change. Of course like all great movements, there will be rabid right-wing pushback. But there's one thing the great movements in history have that they don't have: being right. Haters will hate, so let them, just as long as the good guys win at the end. To my peers in the Occupy Movement: get ready to make history!

Armistice Day

This is a day late, but it's important to remember that 11/11 marked the end of war in 1918. It's important for the anti-war movement to reclaim this day as an anti-war special day. Two Truths About Conservatives

Over the past few weeks, I have been thinking about how conservatives are still trying to destroy the world and I've come up with two truths about them:

A. Conservatives are the bad guys (and liberals are the good guys). I've explained The McClane Reply before and the more and more I think about it, the more it makes sense. While liberals aren't perfect, they are better than conservatives. I have yet to come up with a single issue in which conservatives are better than liberals. And I'm not saying that because I'm a liberal, I'm saying that because it's true. If you just stand back and look at the issues and where each side stands, there is no debate. Conservatives are pro-militarism, liberals are pro-peace. Conservatives are pro-corruption, liberals are pro-justice. Conservatives are pro-theocracy, liberals are pro-separation of church and state. Conservatives are pro-pollution, liberals are pro-environment. Conservatives are for the greedy corporations, liberals are for the unions and workers. Conservatives are racist/sexist/homophobic/xenophobic/bigoted, liberals are pro-tolerance. Conservatives are authoritarian in nature, liberals are libertarian in nature. Conservatives promote ignorance, liberals promote education. The list goes on. Politics is not a sport, it's not about cheering for your favorite team. One side is the obvious good guy and the the other side is the obvious bad guy. And no matter how much you hate another sports team, they aren't as bad as conservatives. So with that said, why would anybody want to be conservative? I think it's a combination of nationalism, power, fear, and stupidity that causes people to become conservatives. But also part of it has to do with the next truth.

B. Conservatives will say or do anything to get power. I have gotten into enough online debates with conservatives and have read and seen enough of their propaganda to know that conservatives live in an alternative reality where truth, decency, and reason don't matter. Conservatives will lie, cheat, smear, name call, project, threaten, steal, or whatever will make them win and brainwash people. And they have mastered the art of projection, pretty much everything they say about liberals is true about themselves. They will call liberals racists and fascists even though that is projection. And they don't care, this is because conservatives are bullies. And when you call them out for it, they bully you more. Bullies don't stop being bullies, they continue to bully because, well, they are freaking bullies and don't know any better. And conservatives will project and call liberals the bullies when we try to fight back. And because of this, conservatives will "win" debates and elections when logic, truth, and reason would have made the more liberal side win. And you don't see this from liberals because liberals try to be decent when it comes to debate. Well, nice guys usually finish last. And when liberals do fight back, they are met by another enemy, the "both sides are bad" crowd. Michael Moore has been called the "Limbaugh of the left", which is like calling MLK the "black George Wallace." There is no equating those on the left with those on the right, liberals are the good guys, conservatives are the bad guys. Deep down most Americans are liberals, the recent 99%/Occupy rallies reminds us that economically most Americans aren't millionaires or billionaires and they benefit overwhelmingly from liberal policies that help the poor and middle class. But conservatives still get elected and they get into office and screw the people who voted for them. Again, conservatives will lie and claim that those economic policies that help the rich will "trickle down" and help the less-wealthy, which is a load of crap. They will then blame Obama and the Democrats for the problems that they created. But conservatives don't give a levitating crap about the truth, they want to win and damn you if you stand in their way.

Conservatives will do this until liberals take a stand, fight back, and "take their toys away." Of course in the process of fighting back, conservatives will whine and claim that we are persecuting them and taking away their rights even though they want to persecute and take away our rights. But remember one thing, liberals are the good guys and conservatives are the bad guys, and liberals have justified righteous indignation.

91 Years of Women's Suffrage

Women got the right to vote on August 26, 1920 and on this day we have to remember that every great social victory like the right to vote in US and world history has been in spite of the conservatives of the day. Nowadays it's the gay rights movement that is center stage in the fight against the great injustice known as conservatism. Because if we don't continue to battle conservatism, we will start to lose our freedoms and we don't want that. Happy 91 years!

Maxine Waters=American Hero

I love this woman.

“I’m not afraid of anybody,” Waters said at the summit in Inglewood, Calif. “This is a tough game. You can’t be intimidated. You can’t be frightened. And as far as I’m concerned, the ‘tea party’ can go straight to Hell.”

I would personally use the term "teabagger", but that's alright. We need more brave politicians to stand up to the teabaggers and their corruption. I'm proud that Maxine Waters is in congress. Maybe this is the thing that will turn the tide of the war against the teabaggers and I smell victory!

Do you know what is better than Obama facing Romney or Bachmann? Obama facing "Bush 2.5." There is no mistaken, Perry is Bush's caretaker as governor and he will bring back Bush era incompetence back to the White House.

The "Bidenization" of Democratic Labeling

Michael Kinsley said that "A gaffe is when a politician tells the truth." Joe Biden has been known for saying lots of crazy stuff, some true, some stupid. But whether or not Biden really called teabaggers "terrorists", the cat is out of the bag and I think it's time to examine that claim not as an ad hominem, but as a legit term for Republicans/conservatives/teabaggers.

For example, look at all that shit that went down last week over raising the debt ceiling that almost led to the country defaulting. Even then, it still damaged the economy and took attention off other matters. Yes Obama should have unilaterally raised the ceiling himself by citing the 14th Amendment, but then again Republicans shouldn't have stood in the way either. They forced through trillions of unnecessary cuts without fancying raising taxes. That IMHO is the definition of terrorism, economic terrorism.

Let's not forget that they support violence and religious extremism that are a part of terrorism, so the pieces are all in place for us calling them "terrorists" (or "tearrorists/All Whita" if you will.)

So now that they are officially terrorists, what do we do? Should Obama just make the Republican Party illegal as a terrorist organization or should we collectively simply not negotiate with them, work to vote them out of office, and treat them like shit as if they are terrorists? I guess we should do the latter and hope for the former.

Boiling Egg on their Faces

I'm back from vacation and damn it has been a hot summer across the country...unusually hot. Yes, it gets hot in the summer, but it has been record heat. 100+ degree temperature has been the norm for large areas of the nation outside the desert areas of California, Arizona, and Nevada. It got over 110 in areas of Oklahoma! The past ten years has seen record highs and lows. Record floods and droughts. Record hurricanes and tornadoes. Record snowstorms and ice melts. Record diseases and famines. Et cetera. Man made global warming is a fact and that needs to be shouted in the face of every global warming denier on Earth. All of them (especially my "friend" in Crystal River) have boiling eggs on the faces!

And as a side note, Oklahoma is the home of James Inhofe, one of the biggest deniers in the Senate. The fact that they are receiving some of the worst heat proves that sometimes you get what you vote for. If one state has to suffer through 110 degree heat, I would rather have it be that state than a blue state full of smart people.

Manateabaggers

Like I've always said, conservatives hate hu-manatee.

Everybody knows what the tea party members oppose. High taxes. Big government. Obama's health care plan. High-speed rail.

Now, for at least some local tea party members, there's one more to add: manatee protection.
A Citrus County tea party group has announced that it's fighting new restrictions on boating and other human activities in Kings Bay that have been proposed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

"We cannot elevate nature above people," explained Edna Mattos, 63, leader of the Citrus County Tea Party Patriots, in an interview. "That's against the Bible and the Bill of Rights."

I can't make this shit up, there are people who really believe this.

Tea party members are far from alone in opposing the new rules. The Crystal River City Council and Citrus County Commission contend the new regulations will be bad for the local economy.

There must be a lot of stupid crazy idiots in the Crystal River area, there's a nuclear power plant in the area and it must rot their brains somehow. But semitious kidding aside, why would further manatee protection be bad for the economy? Much of Crystal River's economy is ecotourism to you know, SEE THE MANATEES. You would think the people there would want there to be more manatees, not fewer. Unless the economy issue is just a cover and these people really just hate manatees and other endangered species.

One more little gem:

Mattos said she enjoys showing off the manatees to her grandchildren, but she had little use for the Save the Manatee Club, explaining, "If some of these environmental movements had been around in the days of the dinosaurs, we'd be living in Jurassic Park now."

Now they are just being retared. Dinosaurs died off millions of years before humans, this would only make sense if you believe humans and dinosaurs existed at the same time...oh wait.

George W Bush turns 65.

Some people are outraged over Casey Anthony getting a "not guilty" verdict, but there is one man in Texas who did a lot worse and is celebrating his 65th birthday in freedom. His name is George Walker Bush and he started 2 wars, lied, tortured, wiretapped, allowed cities to be flooded and terrorized, destroyed the economy, and stole an election. If you are outraged at Anthony, multiply that outrage by a million at the last president, a free man.

Motorcyclist crashes in helmet law protest, dies

A bare-headed motorcyclist riding in protest of New York state's helmet law crashed, struck his head on the roadway and died from his injuries, state police said on Sunday.

Philip Contos, 55, was riding among a large group of motorcyclists staging an organized protest ride in western New York near Syracuse against the state law requiring all motorcyclists to wear helmets.

It's sad that he died, but he was an idiot. A lot of people die in the act of doing something great, but this was a stupid act, so he is no hero. I hope his death will be a warning to other stupid dumb idiot morons on the road to be safe.

Although Beck never reached the media following of Rush Limbaugh, the GOPiate of the Masses, Beck was very much like the American Joseph Goebbels of his day by spewing propaganda on Fox. Birthers=Even Bigger Idiots

Birthers sue Esquire for satire piece.

Joseph Farah--who runs the World Net Daily website and a related book imprint--and Jerome Corsi, author of "Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case That Barack Hussein Obama Is Not Eligible to Be President," held a press conference in Washington, D.C., yesterday to announce that they have filed a lawsuit against Esquire magazine and its owner, Hearst, over an satirical article by Mark Warren published last month.

"This was a serious mistake by Mark Warren and Esquire for which they will pay dearly," Larry Klayman, lawyer for the plaintiffs, said. "It was obviously calculated with malice to destroy not just the book and its sales, but the reputations of Mr. Corsi and Mr. Farah."

When you think these people can't go any lower, they do. First off, "where's the birth certificate?" I think Obama already answered that with "here it is!" Second, if you are going to sue someone for losing money, don't sue Esquire, sue Obama for fuck sake. His exposure of his full birth certificate undermines your entire book, so he is the sole reason your book will lose money.

But this is a moot point, Corsi and Farah are just idiots, along side every birther out there. If rational thought didn't prevent them from writing the book in the first place, it's not going to prevent them from suing to get some money out of the deal. And this is by the way as frivolous as you get when it comes to lawsuits, something I thought conservatives opposed. If there is any justice, the judge will throw this case out before Esquire spends a penny defending themselves.

"There was nothing stating that it was satire."

Just in case I get sued, I'm labeling this post "satire" to protect myself from the stupid idiot goon squad.

Vox Day=Racist Asshole Part Zillion

Vox Day keeps proving that he is a racist asshole.

Another round of Let's Play Guess the Race

See this is a game that conservatives play. They mention a crime and make a big deal out of the fact that the paper doesn't report their skin color and claim that there is some sort of "political correctness" at play. And the trick is to make the reader assume that the people in question are all non-white because if they were white, they wouldn't just be called "unruly teenagers." So in Vox's eyes, unless the skin color is stated, you just assume they are non-white. Very clever, not.

One seriously wonders who the morons in the media think they are kidding.

Look in the mirror you racist asshole.

Funny Headline of the Day

Fed official: Biggest banks put ‘future of capitalism’ at risk.

Are Wall Street mega-banks so powerful and sprawling that they threaten our entire capitalist system? That's the claim being made by one top Federal Reserve official.

In a speech at New York University Monday, Thomas Hoenig, the president of the Kansas City Fed, argued that the biggest and most complex banks are "fundamentally inconsistent with capitalism."

That is the definition of capitalism, big corporations robbing the little guy and getting as big as possible. Big banks are suppose to do that in a capitalist system, how is that putting capitalism at risk? That is like saying that Bin Laden while alive tried to put the future of terrorism at risk by planning 9/11.

Idiot of the Week

Homophobes (no link needed)

The marriage equality vote must piss these people off. As gays and lesbians get more freedoms, the homophobes will become more and more isolated. The one thing that I hope will come from this is the death of the conservative movement. Conservatives, especially social conservatives rely on there being a large chunk of ignorant and bigoted people to pander to and as my generation (Generation Y) becomes overwhelmingly tolerant and accepting, this will make it harder for conservatives to recruit more. Conservatives on the other hand will have an easier time recruiting corporate conservatives, aka the pseudo-libertarians which liberals need to start counter-recruiting.

New York, Then America

Congrats on New York for legalizing same-gender marriage and while this is a victory, New York is only a battle. When civil rights were given to blacks, it was a national thing and that was why it was a huge victory. While certain types of segregation ended in many areas of the country prior to the sixties, it wasn't a full victory until it was ended in parts of the south. Gays can marry in a few blue states, but it should be legal everywhere. And gays and lesbians shouldn't stop their fight until they can legally marry in the middle of Utah, Alabama, or Oklahoma without fear of retaliation. When that day comes, gays and lesbians will have won the war.

Anti-Union Liars

If you need another example of how far big business thugs will go to suppress unionization, look at what they did at Target.

Waddy said some store employees were told the store could close or that they could be replaced if they voted for unionization. The store also rented vans, manned by security guards, to take the employees to work to vote, she said.

"There was a serious level of tension in the store and, obviously, the company ran a really aggressive campaign," Waddy said. "A lot of people were taken aback by the fact that they thought the store was going to close."

It goes to show that the anti-union thugs can only win through lies and intimidation. I also found this quote interesting:

"At Target, it has always been our goal to have a culture where our team members don't want or need union representation," Derek Jenkins, Target senior vice president of stores in the northeastern United States, said in a statement.

Translation: "We know unions are good for employees, but we don't want to admit it because it's bad for our corporate masters. We will treat the employees good enough so that they don't complain, but not good enough to equal that of what they would get if they were unionized. So we will lie to them."

The best revenge is success and one day union membership the United States will return to what it was over 30 years ago.

Idiot of the Week

Mitt Romney

“I should tell my story,” Mr. Romney said. “I’m also unemployed.”

This bastard has over 100 million dollars, is this some sort of cruel joke?

Shit Romney doesn’t belong anywhere near the White House, especially with that elitist mentality. Let’s do Romney a favor and keep him “unemployed” in 2012 so he can continue to tell that stupid line.

Sometimes I think I’m too nice to Republicans and conservatives.

More Bad News for Palin

Representative Giffords released from hospital.

Palin has had a bad week. First she fucked up the Paul Revere story, then she had her emails released, and now the victim of her cross hair map is still alive and improving. I wouldn't be surprised if this causes her to not run for president.

I continue to wish Mrs. Giffords a speedy recovery, not too many people are that lucky.

RIP Doctor Kevorkian

Dead at 83

The dude helped euthanize terminal patients in pain and for that, he became a political prisoner. If you don't agree with his methods, that's your opinion, but he undeniably helped his patients end their suffering. He is a hero and will be missed.

On Memorial Day, Thank Also the Anti-war Protesters

While the US has fought a few good wars, we have also made a few mistakes and by mistakes I mean conscious efforts to create a bloodbath. While it's important to honor the dead from the good wars, it's almost as important to honor those who protested the wars.

During Vietnam we had the hippies and I believe their political pressure was enough to bring an early end to the war which would have lasted several more years. Not only would have been countless millions of more Vietnamese and Cambodian deaths, but 10,000's more American deaths. Thankfully the hippies saved their asses and we should be thankful for that even if they aren't going to get the praise they deserved.

Today we have Iraq and Afghanistan, the heroes at Code Pink and other anti-war groups are busy ending the war and hopefully those wars will die down before more slaughter happens. I think along side Memorial Day and Veterans Day we should have a separate specialday to honor the anti-war movement.

If it wasn't for the anti-war movement, more dead would have been mourned today than needed. Thank you for your service to this country!

While I still like calling them "teabaggers", I have three new names for them:

1. Koch Suckers (as in serving the Koch brothers)

2. The TP (as in they are full of crap)

3. All Whita (the tearrorist organization)

I like number 3 the most.

Jared Loughner Not Going on Trial

The reason they give us:

U.S. District Judge Larry Burns ruled that Loughner, 22, described by his own legal team as "gravely mentally ill," was incapable of understanding the proceedings against him and assisting in his own defense.

He cited the conclusions of two experts, a forensic psychiatrist and a clinical psychologist, that Loughner suffers from schizophrenia, disordered thinking and delusions.

Or maybe they didn't want Jared to walk into the court house yelling, "Sarah Palin for president!"

The McClane Reply

From the movie Die Hard 2:

Gen. Ramon Esperanza: Who are you?
John McClane: A cop.
Gen. Ramon Esperanza: A cop?
John McClane: Yeah. One of the good guys. You see, you're one of the bad guys.

This type of mentality reflects what I think when it pertains to politics. I have said that everything good that has ever happened in history has come from liberal ideology, now it's time for that to reflect our government and policy. Liberals are the good guys and conservatives are the bad guys, period. When it comes to the environment, peace, social justice, safety, economic justice, education, health, equality, and all our freedoms, liberals own a shutout on who is right on the issues. Conservatives on the other hand are responsible for all that is wrong and it is getting harder to deal with them.

In Die Hard 2, McClane blew up Esperanza's plane, but I don't think liberals should resort to violence against conservatives (even though conservatives might resort to violence against us.) The best revenge is success and liberals need to start taking control of every aspect of government, local, state, and national. We need to start acting tough towards conservatives, we need to call them names, and call out their lies. We need to call them racist, sexist, homophobic, bigoted, anti-environmental, insane, stupid idiots who love war and hate peace.

They are the bad guys and we are the good guys.

Of course when we start to fight back, there will always be those who start with the "both sides" crap. They will say that we are being the "Rush Limbaughs of the left." Of course this is stupid. To say that would be like calling Martin Luther King the "black George Wallace." There is no moral equivalence between the ethically challenged right and the left for calling them out on their crap and making the world a better place. Any "both sides" concern trolling should be ignored because liberals are the good guys and conservatives are the bad guys.

Repeat: liberals are the good guys and conservatives are the bad guys. Liberals are the good guys and conservatives are the bad guys. Liberals are the good guys and conservatives are the bad guys. Liberals are the good guys and conservatives are the bad guys. Liberals are the good guys and conservatives are the bad guys. Liberals are the good guys and conservatives are the bad guys........

OSAMA IS DEAD!!!!!

Congrats to Obama and to America for finally having closure. But to be honest, I would have rather had a trial than Osama being killed. I assume there was a fight and Osama died in the middle of the battle. And this took place in...uh...Pakistan?

So while Osama is out of the way, I was hoping for an arrest and trial for Bush and Cheney for war crimes, but IMHO that doesn't seem like a reality, but I'm a dreamer and I'm not the only one.

I'm Too Nice to Republicans/Conservatives

Every day I say to myself, "are these people really that bad" and then I read this and I want to puke.

A surprising number of Mississippi Republicans say interracial marriage should be illegal, according to a recent survey.

Researchers from the Public Policy Polling of Raleigh, N.C., conducted a survey in late March, its results show 46 percent of GOP voters in Mississippi believe interracial marriage should be illegal, 14 percent were undecided.

If you add in the 14 percent who are undecided, that's a 60% majority. Sorry, being undecided is no excuse, either you support it or oppose it; there is no gray area. And opposing interracial marriage is a hardcore racist issue, not one of those "they may or may not be racist for saying that" type positions.

If Mississippi is an example of what we can see nationally from Republicans and conservatives, I am right, these people are racists. I would love to see someone try to defend this. Or just ignore it and say "la la la, we aren't racist!"

Mayor Bill Foster Does it Again

Fires people at will.

Goliath Davis, a top city administrator and former police chief who stirred controversy by not attending the funeral of three slain police officers, has been fired, Mayor Bill Foster announced Friday.

Davis's choice to not attend the funerals might have not have been the smartest thing in the world, but I know he has his reasons. But firing him is 100 times worse than anything Davis ever did, so Foster is the villian here. Plus Davis is black and Foster is a Republican, so you have to add 2 and 2 together and assume we live in a coincidence-free world and say that the actions are racist.

This is the same mayor who fired 5 park rangers and personal friends from my favorite nature park, so Foster is already a piece of crap in my books.

Idiot of the Week

Phil Jensen

A law under consideration in South Dakota would expand the definition of "justifiable homicide" to include killings that are intended to prevent harm to a fetus—a move that could make it legal to kill doctors who perform abortions. The Republican-backed legislation, House Bill 1171, has passed out of committee on a nine-to-three party-line vote, and is expected to face a floor vote in the state's GOP-dominated House of Representatives soon.

The bill, sponsored by state Rep. Phil Jensen, a committed foe of abortion rights, alters the state's legal definition of justifiable homicide by adding language stating that a homicide is permissible if committed by a person "while resisting an attempt to harm" that person's unborn child or the unborn child of that person's spouse, partner, parent, or child. If the bill passes, it could in theory allow a woman's father, mother, son, daughter, or husband to kill anyone who tried to provide that woman an abortion—even if she wanted one.

Wow, just wow. These Republicans have balls. Now Jensen has tried to weasel out of this after getting called out, but the damage has been done. He is basically giving comfort to anti-choice terrorists to commit acts of violence. The next time there is a shooting or bombing, the blood will be on his hands.

The Teabagger Cult Hits Close to Home

There is no doubt, high-speed rail is the next great American project like the freeway of the 50's. But it has hit a snag in Florida, a big snag named Rick Scott. The newly elected governor who looks like the love child of Voldemort and Gollum has nixed it.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott on Wednesday rejected the federal government's offer of $2.4 billion to build the line — prompting cheers from his tea party base, and harsh criticism from leading Florida Republicans and Democrats alike — squashing a project that has been decades in the making.

Even Republicans don't like it, but the teabagger cult has to satisfied. Scott is probably going to be a one-termer and the project will be built, but justice delayed is justice denied, so the damage has already been done.

This Man Belongs in Jail

It's one thing to lie about Iraq's WMD, it's another thing to gloat about it.

An Iraqi who has been identified as a key source for the U.S. case for war in Iraq says he is proud that he lied about his country developing mobile biological warfare labs.

The Guardian newspaper published an interview Wednesday with Rafid Ahmed Alwan al-Janabi, who has been identified as the informer called "Curveball." His claims about weapon labs formed part of then-U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell's speech to the U.N. Security Council in 2003, shortly before the war began.

Please can we lock away these lying murderers? And judging by this, he should get life in prison because gloating about it shows that he has no remorse and can never be rehabilitated.

Lila Rose and Live Action (Part 2)

Live Action is a cult and the people who believe their bullshit are cultists. Lila will stop at nothing to bring down a respectable organization like Planned Parenthood. They called the police before the video was released right after the pretend child prostitutes left, but Lila is still lying. Lila failed to "bust" them, but because that didn't go to plan, she has to lie. There should be a special place in hell for people who try to punish others for doing the right thing. And you bet that there will be other attempts to smear Planned Parenthood and the authorities will be called again. If you really think about it, these "stings" are taking time and effort away from fighting real child trafficking. If anybody supports pedophilia, it's Live Action, not Planned Parenthood.

Difference Between Live Action and Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood has a sense of humor. (They also don't lie.)

Why Mississippi Sucks Part 1,278,340

Some people still love Nathan Bedford Forrest.

A fight is brewing in Mississippi over a proposal to issue specialty license plates honoring Confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest, who was an early leader of the Ku Klux Klan.

The Mississippi Division of Sons of Confederate Veterans wants to sponsor a series of state-issued license plates to mark the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, which it calls the "War Between the States." The group proposes a different design each year between now and 2015, with Forrest slated for 2014.

It's a fact that the KKK was founded by pissed off confederates who still wanted to fight the Civil War. Because of that, it's hard to not link the Civil War to racism despite the efforts by some. "War Between the States" my ass, they should be lucky that we don't refer to it as "War to Keep Slavery Legal."

"Seriously?" state NAACP president Derrick Johnson said when he was told about the Forrest plate. "Wow."

Most appropriate reaction, although I would have said "what the fuck?"

Too Late Rummy

Despite your regrets, the damage has been done.

Former US defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld admitted in an interview that the country "would've been better off" if he had quit after the 2004 Abu Ghraib scandal and spared no criticism of his colleagues in his new memoir published Tuesday.

If you are truly sorry, turn yourself in and live the rest of your life in prison. The torture happened, words cannot suffice.

At least you didn't say the worst moment was something Kanye West said about you.

Happy 100th Birthday to the Second Worst* President in US History!

Ronald Reagan's Legacy:

-Making bad movies.
-Betraying Democrats and switching to a Republican.
-Slashed taxes on the wealthiest which haven't been fully reinstated and have led to record deficits and debt.
-Appointed 3 of the 5 Supreme Court justices who unconstitutionally stopped the Florida recount which would have given Gore the 2000 election.
-Increased Cold War military spending which has resulted in higher national debt.
-Rushed the Challenger launch which probably resulted in its explosion.
-Taking credit for ending the Cold War when the credit should have gone to Gorbachev.
-Declaring war on the middle class and unions.
-Unjustly firing thousands of air traffic controllers.
-Ending free college education while governor of California.
-Making racism "ok" again after decades of civil rights battles by using the "Southern Strategy" to gain more political power.
-Ending Carter's dream of alternative energy by being a whore to the oil companies. This has resulted in a worsening of global warming.
-Laying a wreath on the grave of a Nazi.
-Standing in the way of early AIDS research which has led to thousands of unnecessary deaths.
-Giving weapons to Saddam Hussein to use against his own people.
-Ending the "Fairness Doctrine" which has allowed talentless hacks like Rush Limbaugh to get airtime.
-Declaring an endless "war on drugs" while at the same time using drug money to fund illegal wars in Central America which have resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths and appointment of brutal right-wing dictators.
-Making a secret deal to sell weapons to the Iranians and keep the hostages in Iran until inauguration day just to make Carter look bad. Reagan is a traitor, he should have been arrested.
-Inspiring an entire generation of idiot conservatives to embrace fascism and mediocrity.

Happy 100th birthday Ronald Reagan!

*First being George W Bush.

Idiot of the Week

Lila Rose and Live Action

Do these people have any shame smearing a decent organization like Planned Parenthood?

"Satireday" Post: Truth About Green Bay Quarterback Aaron Rodgers

It all started in 1935, a family of space aliens from the planet of Olifrofrawrendoslapagerbilzozobot came to Mississippi and one of the pregnant aliens gave birth to a two-headed baby. One head was named Elvis, the other Aaron. Elvis at the age of 12 decided to cut off the other head and pursue a life as an actor and musician. He kept Aaron as his middle name and when people asked about his twin brother, Elvis claimed it was a stillbirth.

Elvis’s mom decided to send the preserved head of Aaron back to Olifrofrawrendoslapagerbilzozobot to live his life, but his spacecraft landed in New Mexico and was taken to a new base in Nevada to be studied. The base was called Aaron 51. A secret anti-government organization got word of the project and set out to stop it. They even thought JFK was the head and assassinated him in 1963; they noted the head was young and handsome and JFK was a suspect.

With nowhere to go, the government found a place nobody would ever suspect to look in 1968: Mr. Roger Neighborhood. The head hid out in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe under the castle. The anti-government group eventually dissolved into opposing other things like taxes and business regulation and stopped looking for the head. In 1979, the head was moved to a nuclear power plant in Pennsylvania when a freak accident happened and place was shut down. The head was the only one to survive, but it was very weak.

Fred Roger was kidnapped by scientists and they secretly added the head to his body and concealed it in his sweater. They changed Aaron’s last name to Roger also and later Fred changed his name to Rogers to denote plural heads. In 2003 when Fred Rogers died, Aaron was severed again and scientists needed to attach it again. This time, they would find a permanent host. They murdered a college football player from the University of California with a similarly sounding name and put Aaron’s head in place of it. Aaron Rodgers now plays quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. Now you know the terrible secret that will destroy this country if too many people know about it.

Pseudo-Libertarians (Heart) Dictatorship

Reason number 1,000,000 why I call these people "pseudo-libertarian."

The media has chosen to sell the storyline told by the rioters and anarchists in the streets. They have chosen to interview only one side, those participating in these protests. But is that representative of the true storyline? Is there another side to the story? Of course there is.

I just got off the phone with a longtime friend- a successful Egyptian business leader. He believes that several hundred thousand people in the streets do not represent the 80 million citizens of Egypt. They represent anarchists, communists, and Islamic extremists- all with an agenda and axe to grind. He says if you polled the people of Egypt today, the majority would support Mubarak. He says that the backbone of Egypt- the business owners, small business community, and middle class still support Mubarak and the military. They are horrified by the mobs in the street and are shocked at Obama’s tepid response to the riots and the one-sided portrayal of the situation by the U.S. media.

This has to be some unknown nut with no credibility, "libertarians" support freedom over dictatorship and...

By Wayne Allyn Root, Former Libertarian Vice Presidential Nominee and Chairman, Libertarian National Congressional Committee

Oh wait, Root is a big dog in the "Libertarian" Party. But Root reveals a certain truth about these people, they support dictators as long as they are friendly to big business. Big business in truth is inherently antithetical to freedom and the only way to make it less antithetical to freedom is to push government regulation and stronger unionization. The fact that these pseudo-libertarians oppose government regulation and stronger unionization shows their true authoritarian nature.

Also, several hundred thousand people is still a lot of people. It's a hell of a lot more than the amount of people who showed up to the teabagger rallies. No, not all 80 million Egyptians will show up in the streets to protest, but for every person who does, there will be several sitting at home sympathetic to the cause.

These People Would Call the Segregationists "Law Abiding" Also

Michelle Malkintented is at it again.

A Christian business in the Left’s crosshairs

Let's start with the obvious "fuck you" to the victims of the Tucson shooting. Giffords was put in Palin's crosshairs so now in typical conservative projection, THEY are REALLY the ones in OUR "crosshairs." Classy Michelle.

Here’s a modest proposal for liberals who say they support job creation: Stop smearing successful, law-abiding private companies whose values don’t comport with yours.

"Successful" is the key here because in the right-wing "might makes right" mentality, success means "beyond question." There are a lot of big businesses that destroy this theory due to their corruption. And when I talk about "corruption", there are two types of corruption: immoral and illegal corruption. Most corruption is illegal and immoral, but something can be legal and still be immoral or illegal and moral. Gay marriage for example is illegal in most areas, but is still moral. Therefore, a business is corrupt if it opposes it.

And "they are a Christian business" is not an excuse. Businesses during the segregation days had similar objections to civil rights, but today we look down on them as "racist." It's the same thing with Chick-Fil-A, they are homophobic. Just because they are "law abiding" is no excuse, they are corrupt for opposing gay marriage. Like I said, segregationists were "law abiding" also.

If we are going to treat gay rights like civil rights, we have to attack homophobic businesses. Again, "Christian" is not an excuse for homophobic.

Oh and fuck you Michelle Malkintented!

Super Bowl 2011

You know, I hate both the Steelers and the Packers. I don't give a levitating crap about "terrible towels" or "cheese heads." The fans for both teams suck and are annoying. But there is one difference between the Packers and the Steelers, the Packers aren't led by a rapist quarterback. I hope the Packers defense gives Ben Rapistberger hell because he sure gave several young women hell. Go Packers!

And the commercials this year better not suck like last year's "misogyny fest."

Idiot of the Week

Sarah Palin

This is dumb:

Palin responded, "That was another one of those WTF moments when [Mr. Obama] so often repeated the 'Sputnik Moment' that he would aspire Americans to celebrate. He needs to remember that what happened back then with the former communist USSR and their victory in that race to space, yeah, they won, but they also incurred so much debt at the time that it led to the inevitable collapse of the Soviet Union."

A. They launched Sputnik, but we beat them to the moon dumbass. The point of the space race was to get to the moon first, so America won. They could have sent a million satellites into space, but still lost.
B. It wasn't debt that mainly led to the collapse of the USSR, but Glasnost and Perestroika.

People like Palin represent the dumbing down of America that we see in the conservative movement. They need to shut up if America is ever going to return to greatness.

Confession Time

Obama has been in office for 2 years now and has given zillions of speeches. Now as someone who voted and semi-campaigned for him, you would think that I would watch every speech. Well, I have a confession: I have never watched an entire Obama speech while in office. I haven't even seen most of a speech. I saw him live when he came to Dunedin, Florida during the campaign, but since then, nothing. I watch tiny bits on the news channels that happen later, but I just can't sit through a whole speech. I watched entire Bush SOTU addresses, but mostly to see if he would say some retarded or fascistic shit. But Obama I don't watch, something about him just doesn't inspire me to watch.

Free Market=Racist

Turns out "free market" is just another racist buzzword.

It is this last point that I want to talk about more, because the people who are making this “free market solutions” argument are ignoring, I think in most cases deliberately, that the “classic liberals” (which is a euphemism for “reactionaries that dress their assholery up in fancy pants language") of their time were supported by the Tea Partiers of their time, and the latter were under no illusions about why they preferred “free market” solutions. And that reason is they wanted to keep black people out of their stores, neighborhoods, etc. And their rationale for this was.....economic. They believed and argued strongly that black customers are bad for business. They did not believe black money spends as good as white money.

Always remember, if it wasn't for desegregation laws in the 60's, we would still see all-white businesses today across the south. The so-called "free market" establishes more racism than it eradicates.

Why Alabama Sucks Part 1,094,592

The governor is a Jesus freak.

"Anybody here today who has not accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, I'm telling you, you're not my brother and you're not my sister, and I want to be your brother," Bentley said Monday, his inauguration day, according to The Birmingham News.

It's 2011, not 1011 dude. Come on Robert Bentley, enter the 21st Century. Don't give a giant middle finger to non-Christians. It's people like you that make Alabamans seems stupid and backwards in everything but college football.

Conservatives Should not be Allowed to Celebrate MLK Day

Every time I think of Glenn Beck taking a gigantic crap on King's legacy last August, I feel enraged. If Beck had been older in the 1960's, he would have put King's face on his chalkboard. But in the bigger picture, King stood against everything conservatives stand for I think that King is too great to allow them to celebrate his legacy. Conservatives are racist assholes to the core, there's no doubt about it. If King was alive today, they would hate him more than they hate Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Jeremiah Wright combined. King would have been the target of a right-wing hitman like say Jared Loughner. King was as flaming liberal as you can get, we need to remind people that every day.

Let conservatives celebrate one of their own like Ronald Reagan or Ayn Rand, but not Martin Luther King.

Happy Martin Luther King Day!

The Tucson Shooting and the NRA Gun Culture

Florida will soon be the laughing stock of America, now that gun owners can keep guns in their house and doctors won't be allowed to ask them if they have them.

Sponsored by Rep. Jason Brodeur, R-Sanford, the bill (HB 155) would make it a felony for a physician or staff member to ask patients or family members of patients if they own guns or store guns at home. If found guilty, the medical provider could be fined up to $5 million or face up to five years in jail.

Republicans really hate doctors, they want them to shut up about abortion and want to harass them with the insurance companies, now this. I mean, doctors ask a lot questions about other harmful things around the house like cigarettes, electrical cords, pools, etc, why not guns? Oh yeah, because guns are holy and can't be questioned.

Imagine someone working their ass off to get through medical school and one day becomes a doctor. They are talking to a patient about safety and children and it slips out "do you have a gun?" They patient gets pissed and reports the doctor who goes to jail. To me that is unfair.

What if asking about guns stops the next Jared Loughner? And that is the crux of the matter here, the NRA while openly opposing shootings like Tucson secretly supports it. If there is no other issue to pinpoint where Jared falls on the political spectrum, it's this. Gun-nuttery is pretty much a symptom of the right and not left, so IMHO Jared could not foster any relevant left-wing beliefs (ditto for his position on abortion). With that said, it's 100% fair to trash the right over this.

But back to the NRA. I've come to the conclusion that the NRA is somewhat of a terrorist organization in the sense that they have created an atmosphere of gun-worship and violence that falls outside even rational gun ownership. I mean if you want a gun for hunting or self defense, more power to you, but I don't think the NRA truly serves that purpose. Of course the NRA claims the platform of self defense and probably have prevented many burglaries, but you have to remember that this is mainly a wash. The crook is using a gun also because of the NRA's gun-worshipping culture that makes them use the gun when rationally it's a bad idea. So in the act of attempting to promote self-defense, they have (in?)inadvertently made the criminals use guns also.

Then there is the abuse of guns that fall outside of simple robbery or burglary, the shooting rampages. Anybody who watches Bowling for Columbine and doesn't walk away with the conclusion that the NRA has an indifference or hostility towards the pain and suffering of school shootings is an idiot. The NRA held rallies to spite the victims of the shootings. It's the same thing with the Tucson shooting except that after 2 years of teabagger hate, one can make the argument that to a greater extent the entire conservative movement is complicit in the shooting and not just the NRA. Conservative insanity is tied to guns and nobody can separate the two.

Some may say Jared was not a true conservative, but simply because of the gun-nuttery issue, any shooting regardless of the ambiguity of ideology should by default be blamed on the right.

Fuck Palin

If you want a clear example of adding insult to injury, look no further than Sarah Palin.

The term "blood libel" is not well known, but it is highly charged — a direct reference to a time when many European Christians blamed Jews for kidnapping and murdering Christian children to obtain their blood. Jews were tortured and executed for crimes they did not commit, emblematic of anti-Semitism so virulent that some scholars recoiled Wednesday at Palin's use of the term.

Palin used this for one reason and one reason alone, because Gabrielle Giffords is Jewish. It's like her saying, "I know I'm partially responsible for this shooting of a Jewish woman, but when you call me out on it, I will say that you are persecuting me for being the Jew!" This kind of childishness has no place in politics. Palin could have just said, "I'm sorry" and it would have been the end of it.

But the good news is that hopefully this will end any possible political future for her, lack of success is the best revenge.

Media Spin

Take this headline:

Ill. faces 66 percent tax boost amid budget crisis

"66% is a lot" says the reader. But where does that 66% come from?

The increase now goes to Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn, who supports the plan to temporarily raise the personal tax rate to 5 percent, a two-thirds increase from the current 3 percent rate.

Oh. Just 3 to 5 percent. If it went from 1 to 2 percent, would the headline read "Ill. faces 100 percent tax boost amid budget crisis?" Complete media spin.

Conservative or Crazy? Both!

There's a lot of debate about whether the Tucson shooter Jared Loughner was inspired by right-wing rhetoric or was just nuts. Why not both? Conservatism is driven by insanity, so obviously Jared was both. Not to say all mentally insane people will go out and shoot people of course. Conservatives have a worldview that leans away from reality to the point where I can classify them as insane.

To put it in a different way: not all crazy people are conservative, but all conservatives are crazy.

Keith is Wrong

This is what Keith Olbermann said after the Jared Loughner shootings:

“We need to put the guns down. Just as importantly we need to put the gun metaphors away and permanently. Left, right, middle — politicians and citizens — sane and insane. … If Sarah Palin, whose website … scrubbed bulls-eye targets on 20 representatives, including Gabby Giffords, does not repudiate her own part in amplifying violence and violent imagery in politics, she must be dismissed from politics. She must be repudiated by the members of her own party, and if they fail to do so, each one of them must be judged to have silently defended this tactic … And if those of us considered to be ‘on the left’ do not re-dedicate ourselves to our vigilance to eliminate all our own suggestions of violence — however inadvertent they might have been — then we, too, deserve the repudiation of the more sober and peaceful of our politicians and our viewers and our networks. … I say it first, and freely: Violence, or the threat of violence, has no place in our Democracy, and I apologize for and repudiate any act or any thing in my past that may have even inadvertently encouraged violence.”

I rarely disagree with Keith, but he’s wrong to say this. I feel he’s being too defensive about his own rhetoric, he needs to stay on the offense. I mean he’s right to go after Palin and conservatives, but he shouldn’t blame fellow liberals too. This isn't a two-sided thing Keith, you aren't Jon Stewart. His enemies on the right will surely use this to comb through every word he says now and forever and call him a hypocrite if he even says something like “shooting the messenger.” The right will use this as an attempt to censor Olbermann.

He's also wrong when he says "Violence, or the threat of violence, has no place in our Democracy." Yes it does. To name a few examples, police when they aren't being abusive and doing their jobs use violence and the threat of violence to maintain the peace. Violence was also used to tackle the shooter by the heroes who prevented more shots from being fired. Of course speaking as a peaceful (not to be confused with pacifism) person who has opposed a lot of US wars, violence is necessary to stop people like Hitler in World War 2. Even peaceful movements like civil rights and union movements as columnist Ted Rall has pointed out have contained some violent aspects that have made them work. There is different kinds of violence, good and bad. But you don't equate a bully punching you in the face with punching a bully back.

But to fix Keith's rant, there's a certain kind of violence that doesn't belong in the United States or elsewhere and that is conservative violence or the threat of conservative violence. We need to remember that.

Idiot of the Week

John Boehner

This asshole sure loves to cry. I don't mind people crying and getting emotional, but when you are the head of a party that has spent 24/7 trying to destroy the middle class and worker rights, the tears are crocodile tears. So to me, Boehner is just a crybaby with a larger gavel and I can't wait for him to not be Speaker anymore. The only place for crying "Boehners" is in porno.

"You Pulled the Trigger!"

Yesterday's massacre in Tucson left 6 dead plus many wounded including:

Authorities said the dead included U.S. District Judge John Roll, 63; Christina Greene, 9; Giffords aide Gabe Zimmerman, 30; Dorothy Morris, 76; Dorwin Stoddard, 76; and Phyllis Scheck, 79.

A 9 year old girl, holy shit! The target of the shooting was Gabrielle Giffords, a Democratic congresswoman. The shooter, a crazy asshole named Jared Loughner apparently was targeting the congresswoman. Target, hmmm, where does that sound familiar? Oh yeah:

Notice the 4th name on the list and notice the rifle views on the map. Yes, that is Giffords and she is only one of two (other is Rahall) to get reelected. When you make a map for certain politicians, use something else besides a fucking rifle view finder, use a dot or a flower or anything else. But Sarah Palin is a hunter you betcha, so her "don't retreat reload" rhetoric could have lead to this. Giffords was the target of teabagger violence before the shooting, her office was vandalized. Sarah Palin led to this rhetoric, so she has blood on her hands. Sarah Palin, you pulled the trigger. It wasn't just one nut, but an entire community that added to the rhetoric. But to add to the list of co-conspirators, I will add:

Racists, homophobes, sexists, xenophobes, and Islamophobes. You pulled the trigger.

People who deny the existence of global warming and other anti-environmentalists. You pulled the trigger.

Right-wing media types, tv networks, websites, blogs, radio shows, newspapers, etc. You pulled the trigger.

Christian anti-choicers who oppose legal and safe abortion. You pulled the trigger.

Teabaggers who think they are adding to the debate when in reality are stupid idiots. You pulled the trigger.

People who oppose rational government regulations on big business, the "pseudo-libertarians." You pulled the trigger.

People who want the teaching of creationism in our schools. You pulled the trigger.

People obsessed with guns, not reasonable gun-owners, but gun nuts. You pulled the trigger.

Birthers and other conspiracy theorists obsessed with Obama. You pulled the trigger.

Union-haters. You pulled the trigger.

Warmongers, neocons, and idiots who wave the flag too much. You pulled the trigger.

Every Republican and conservative. You pulled the trigger.

This post might be received with rejection, but it's true. Conservatism has never added anything good to this country and it never will. It has only added bad things, including yesterday in Tucson.

Idiot of the Week

Tucker Carlson

Now I'm a Christian, I make mistakes myself and I believe fervently in second chances. But Michael Vick killed dogs and he did it in a heartless and cruel way and I think personally he should have been executed for that. He wasn't, but the idea that the President of the United States would be getting behind someone who murdered dogs?

I don't support capital punishment for anyone, especially for fucking dog murder. What Vick did was bad, but suggesting that anybody should be killed for it is insane. Carlson owes Vick (and Obama) an apology.
